Very nice hotel, friendly and efficient staff. Room was small but very well organized and very clean. The breakfast lady was extremely nice and helpful!
We stayed here for several days in mid Jan while visiting Paris for the first time. Hotel is in a convenient location…right across street from one of the main train stations, 10 min walk from the Gare du Nord, shops, restaurants, etc. The room was clean and comfortable. We even had a small balcony to outside, but didn’t use much (Winter). The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.
Unfortunately I made the mistake of booking here for my birthday. I expected a budget hotel to be able to exceed expectations ( being in the hotel industry myself I understand how hospitality works, small detail smatter ) and the bare minimum wasn't even met, so maybe i'm the issue.
Paid to upgrade to nicer room, having stayed previously, I knew the rooms were very, very small, and I wanted more space as I'd be shopping, maybe even a little content creation. etc. I wanted bathrobes to relax in, and they were included in the Club Room I'd booked, so I emailed over beforehand, making sure I had a nice view, highlighting how special the trip was intended to be, my birthday and about the robes, all that stuff...took staff ages to reply, although they did.
Upon check in, I asked for glasses for wine,( purchased from the supermarket next door) I was given paper cups, I said no proper glasses please, was told no!! I knew there was glasses for water dispensing and breakfast juices in the "breakfast room" I decided to take one and I was literally chased down by the guy who checked us in and yelled at in the main reception by this low grade receptionist, who also took the time to insult me under his breath thinking I didn't know French. Delightful! An older male employee asked if I was ok, I said well no, I'm humiliated, insulted and treated like a criminal over a wine glass. He said he'd bring glasses to my room, don't know why this couldn't have happened in the first place.
Robes were not in the room, staff literally came to the room to check I wasn't lying about it. No iron board or iron, when I called down to request I was told you'll need to come down to main reception, I literally had no clothes on so no. I was begrudgingly sent it up. All glasses were removed from my room after the first night despite there being bottles of wine/prosecco in the room and it was obvious we were using them.
Hairdryers in the room are all old fashioned affairs like using an old hoover, no handheld cheap ones to be got anywhere in the hotel, housekeeping said none were available when I asked, so bring your own unless you want to spend your whole trip drying your hair.
Not even so much as a hello from staff on the desk when coming or going, one receptionist was too busy shoving a massive sandwich into her face when we went by. I politely wished her "bon Appetit" though because I'm not rude, and reminded myself why we don't eat on the front desk in the hotel I work at.
mortifying from start to finish.
Trains can be heard throughout the building if your a light-sleeper.
Stations are literally 2 mins walk away and great access to everywhere, this is the only positive about this hotel. The elderly male employee was good at making up for his crappy colleagues insults and standards, give him more smoke breaks.
The whole stay was good! Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room & bathroom were very clean and spacious.
A funny thing happened on the first night there: I had informed the reception team that I would like a wake up call. Then I was woken to an extremely loud voice! The first thing that came to my mind was that, wow, this hotel takes the wake up calls very seriously!! Only to realize seconds later that it was actually the fire alarm and that all the guests had to evacuate for few mns, till it was safe for us to come back to sleep!
Still, my 3 nights there were good, and this hotel is a great value for money!
Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights for the first time with my 2 friends ,bare in mind we are all young girls and we felt so comfortable during our time here and the staff were so attentive and lovely , and let us leave our bags with them when we had a later flight . The room was immaculate , clean, tidy and the beds were really comfortable, It also had a mini fridge which was really useful .It is near to a lot of areas and we were surrounded by restaurants and food and drink , there is also a supermarket right next door . Everywhere is in walking distance , or if you prefer transport - you are close to bus lines, metro lines and taxis/ubers, also directly opposite to a station . We chose an uber to get to the eiffel tower as we got there later in the evening , and it took about 20-30 mins (incl traffic and busy roads)and was a really scenic ride . The uber drivers were also very friendly. 100% recommend this hotel for anyone, great for solo , family and friend group stays .We had the most amazing 2 nights here and will definitely be back .
Excellent Hotel next to Metro Station and Buses.Easy check in and friendly staff. It’s a 10 min walk to the Gare du Nord for the eurostar. There is a Supermarket next door to the hotel.
The hotel is right by the train station which is very convenient. The breakfast was excellent, the room was clean, and everyone who worked at the hotel was friendly and efficient. The problem was that the room smelled like sewer gas. The smell was the most powerful in the bathroom (not surprisingly) but the entire room stank. After a few minutes I got used to the smell but it was always there. Not pleasant.
Helpful & friendly check in staff
The hotel is next to the Gare de l'est other than that we would not have chosen this hotel or location. The breakfast was quite delicious and complete.
Conveniently located at a major transportation hub. Bright, clean, modern, eith elevators.
The "cozy" rooms are really very small, even by Paris standards. But the bathroom is actually fairly spacious.
I was undercharged upon check-in but it was caught at checkout and I paid the difference then. Strange error, never happened to me before.
It looked like a convenient location close to train station at a cheap price. Staff was indifferent to grumpy at check-in. Room was an interior location and quiet when I entered, but noticed within 15 mins the hotel is located above a metro train line. Every 12-15 mins was a rumble of the train. I'd prepaid to get cheap rate, so in went the ear plugs for the night. Location around train station was predictably sketchy.
Very conveniently located
Good overall stay. The location was perfect due to being close to Gare de Nord and Gare D'le Est
Very close to subway and train station.
If you’re traveling out of Gare d’Lest train station, this hotel is across the street from the station so very conveniently located. A few patisseries in the area is a nice perk. But there are patisseries EVERYWHERE in Paris. Otherwise, this is a typical, way overpriced Parisian hotel with few if any amenities. The rooms, at least my overpriced room, was very small room and nothing special at all. Yawn!!! 3 3 star hotel if that!
There was road construction immiediately in front of the building. We were on the second floor and could hear the noise starting at 7am. The bed was comfy, room was clean. We did wake up too late for housekeeping one day and requested it while we were out and was told it was too late even though they were still on our floor. Directly across from the train station, be aware there’s another train station a few blocks away, we came into the wrong one but the walk was very easy. Plenty of dining, and super close to metro access.
The hotel was very clean and the staff was very good. It was a 2 minute walk to Gare de L'est and a 5 minute walk to Gare de Nord. It was everything we were looking for. The room was a bit small, but fine for our stay.
Front desk staff very efficient and knowledgeable. Across the street from Gare de l’est
Customer service not friendly and rude .
This hotel was very clean, with very nice staff even if it was for 1 encounter. The room was kept clean however one downside would be that it was a little small. But other than that it was a brilliant experience in this hotel with many modes of transport available just on the doorstep. I would recommend this hotel however opt for a bigger room.
