Not worth the price.

Location was good, bed was great. Front desk was nice at check in.

Cons:

A couple of things prevented me from giving this room a better rating. The whole motel needs upgrades. I expected better for the price. The carpet in our room looked dirty and had multiple cigarette burns in it. The bathroom was clean, but the shower was awkward. The door on the end with the water control does not open, so you turn on the water (too hot or too cold), get into the shower under the water, and adjust the temperature. There was one grab bar in the shower, and it was vertical in the corner. A horizontal bar would be safer. The beach was nothing to write home about. We rented this room for the beach, and it is very small. There are no plug ins by the bed, only large USB ports. I have a small one or a wall socket plug. The wifi was very spotty, I couldn’t get on at all over half of the time. All in all it was nice, but not wonderful, and definitely not what we expected for the price.

Nice hotel - staff is very friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean.
Pros:

Very nice hotel. Front desk was super helpful. Bar staff was awesome. Room was spacious and clean. Only downside is you are about 15 minutes from downtown Corpus - not many restaurants in the area around the hotel.

Excellent Service Fantastic Location
Pros:

I have been a guest of this Property for ten-plus years. I always enjoy the local saloon Blue Marlin, Blackbeards seafood, and, of course, the awesome beach and great views. This time, however, I arrived as a weather ‘refugee’ of the 2026 Ice Storm. To begin, I called in advance and spoke with Manager Kris per my reservation: I was delighted to hear him volunteer that he had already upgraded to a top-floor oceanview room! Also, per my requests on the reservation, Kris went out of his way to make sure my requests would be honored, and that attentiveness kicked off my Stay in a great way. Kris set the tone for my staycation with Courtesy and Respect. After confirming all the details w Kris, I drove 4plus hours to escape the Ice Storm and Front Desk Demetrius checked me in at 1am: he was expecting my arrival and could not have been more helpful and friendly during the course of my Stay. I learned during my Stay that many of the restaurant and housekeeping Staff were staying at the Property so that if weather conditions became hazardous for road travel, the guests of the Property would still be taken care of: I really appreciate the sacrifices the Staff of this Property made during the Storm in support of all the other guests and me: it made for a festive atmosphere on Sunday watching playoff football in the restaurant while sharing fellowship with other guests and Staff alike. Special thanks to the 18 Restaurant crew of Kelsey, Dylan, Joey, and Reggie: the Service was great, the extra care during inclement weather was appreciated by all us guests, and the fish tacos were huge. On my last day GM Dave kindly introduced himself and shared some of the local news and updates from around town and apprised me of the seven-suite renovation that is soon to be complete (these suites will have an oceanview, high ceilings, and will be located directly above the 18 lounge. In closing This Property has been one of my favorites for 10-plus years and I’m always impressed by the attentive service, hospitality, and, of course, the good restaurants, and beach attractions. I’m thankful for the Staff of this Property a their Service during the 2026 Ice Storm: their friendliness made a weather calamity a fun two-days-off from work! Great Stay like always, thanks again to Manager Kris, and I look forward to staying w this Property in the Future!
