Our stay was comfortable. The housekeeping supervisor Namgyal went out of his way to make our stay special. He kept a foot soak for our special occasion after a tiring day for us. The room was always impeccably clean. He made special efforts to create innovative towel art much our kid thoroughly enjoyed. The only shortcoming in the hotel was that there was only one restaurant.

This was my first trip to Jaisalmer and I didnt know what to expect.

The check-in experience was nice with Ekta doing our check-in and Ronit showing us to the room. We also met Jayanti maam and we taking her advice on what we should do and how to plan our days.

As with all holidays, the maximum time spent is always in the restaurants. As the weather was so good, we did our lunches outside at the Seray with the dinners indoors at the Bazaar. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Pawan ji ran a great team with Shyam and Pradipta being ever present. Chef Uday would meet us to take care of the special dietary needs. Hirday, Vikas, Giridhar, Himanshu, Bhagwan and Nonlih were the other staff we interacted with. The breakfast spread was amazing so wanted to make a special mention of that. The high-tea was nice with the live Rajasthani music as was the person playing the flute every morning during breakfast.

We used the spa and the treatments given by Litsa and Moni were excellent. There is room for improvement with the couples room though as there should be a drawer/small cupboard where guests can put away their belongings. I'm not sure how this will be accomplished as the room was quite small and opened out directly near the pool but this should be looked into.

The room was clean, comfortable and well kept. A special mention must be made to the entire housekeeping team for keeping everything clean and as dry as possible (specially during the heavy rain we experienced). The grounds were very well maintained as well.

Wifi throughout the resort was very good and was much needed as the network connectivity was not so great.

The check-out experience with Ronit was quick and smooth and was the first time we experienced the dahi-chini departure

One thing we did miss was the morning yoga sessions. It would have been lovely to do that outside the fitness center area.

A big thank you to the entire team for the lovely memories that we have taken back with us from this trip. Jayanti maams advice on what and when to do were wonderful and we enjoyed all her suggestions. We hope to be able to visit again in the not too distant future

Our stay was so wonderful at the Taj Gorbandh. The rooms are very comfortable. The pool area is very beautiful and there are many many activities for kids. The location is excellent- just a 5-10 minute drive to the centre and all the sights. The staff were the most special part of the property, welcoming and so helpful, especially to Aditya who was so warm and kind to our children. And Jayanti who runs the hotel so smoothly and always with a smile.

Special thanks to Bhagwan and Himanshu who served us at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Had a wonderful stay at Taj Gorbandh Palace at Jaisalmer. Right from our entry to our departure everything was just perfect. They have a caring staff who are always looking out for us. They have a wonderful property, awesome food, an amazing swimming pool and a good bunch of extracurricular activities to go along with evening high tea and snacks. All in all - definitely a place - we as a family would like to visit again.

An unforgettable stay at the Taj Gorbandh Palace! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty with traditional arrival rituals. The golden sandstone architecture is breathtaking, especially at sunset. Our room was spotless and beautifully decorated with local art. The Nagori Murgh Tikka at the Bazaar restaurant was a culinary highlight. Special thanks to the attentive staff who made our anniversary celebration so personalized. If you want a luxury experience that truly captures the soul of Jaisalmer, this is it!

We recently stayed at Taj Gorbandh Palace for 3 nights in a historical suite. Our room was lovely, spacious and very comfortable. What wasn't so nice was on being shown our room we were told there would be an "event" that evening, and the area hosting that event was very close to our bedroom windows. I was a bit concerned since we were to be up very early the next morning to visit Desert Nat'l Park and did not want to be kept awake by loud music. We were offered another room away from the noise but were unable to move there for our entire stay because it was booked the following evening. We did take them up on their offer to sleep in the "spare" room and it worked out well, even if it was a minor inconvenience.
Our next noise issue came during our first evening meal when a family with very loud and obnoxious children disrupted the entire restaurant. One child was particularly loud and screamed at the top of his lungs whenever he didn't get his way. The restaurant manager mentioned the family had been asked to leave however they continued to stay and disrupt the dining room and nothing further was done. While the food was very good with a many dishes to choose from, it was hard to enjoy with a child at an adjacent table screaming. The overall feel was that of a budget hotel rather than a Taj property.
The Gorbandh Palace is a very nice property although the service could use a bit more polish and attention to detail.

We stayed at Taj Gorbandh Palace, Jaisalmer for 3 nights from 1st to 4th March. 3 of us in 2 rooms. While the property itself is undeniably beautiful and exudes a charming Rajasthani character, the overall experience fell short of the consistent service standards one typically associates with the Taj brand.

To begin with, the hotel architecture, ambience, and rooms are impressive. The property is well-maintained, peaceful, and offers a relaxing stay away from the city’s bustle. The rooms are comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, and the setting has all the ingredients of a premium heritage experience. The staff overall are very helpful, specially the concierge desk and bell staff who help with timely and prompt buggy service.

However, the inconsistencies in service and execution were noticeable and impacted the overall stay - below are some to list a few:

The in-room TV system (IPTV) was quite frustrating to use. The remote response was delayed, commands were often unresponsive, and navigating channels became unnecessarily complicated. Although this was brought to the attention of engineering and they explained its functioning, the usability remained poor enough that we eventually chose to switch the TV off altogether.

There was a lack of clarity regarding the meal inclusions in our package. Our booking clearly mentioned “breakfast plus one major meal,” which was also reconfirmed at check-in. However, at dinner on the first day, we were advised to opt for the buffet as part of the package, despite having already signed a check earlier for a meal/snack assuming that would be covered. The lack of clear communication and ambiguity around what qualifies as the included meal was disappointing. While paying for meals is not the concern, unclear and inconsistent information is not expected at this level.

A basic service lapse during room service stood out. We had ordered beverages including a beer, but the service staff arrived without a bottle opener. On requesting assistance, we were told there wasn’t one available with him or even in the room. We had to explicitly ask him to fetch one, which took an additional 5–7 minutes. This is a very basic aspect of service, and surprising to encounter at a Taj property.

Overall, while the property itself is excellent and has great potential, the experience is let down by these gaps in service consistency and attention to detail. With tighter execution, better training and clearer communication, this hotel could truly match the high standards expected of the Taj brand.

As it stands, it was a pleasant but somewhat underwhelming stay relative to expectations.

Excellent accommodation-class and character. Very good food. Lovely spa - massages by Liza were terrific. Good pool too.

Our stay at **Taj Jaisalmer** from **8th to 9th March** was truly memorable. We had come to celebrate a special day, and the team went out of their way to make it unforgettable.

A special thanks to **Jayanti** and **Gitesh**, the Duty Managers, who warmly welcomed us and ensured our room was beautifully decorated with a cake waiting for us. Their thoughtful gesture made our celebration even more special.

We were also very well looked after by **Anindia**, **Shreya**, and **Yoko**, who were attentive and courteous throughout our stay. The F&B team, especially **Chef Nitin** and another colleague, recommended some excellent dishes—the pizza was absolutely delicious.

A big thank you to **Sandeep Singh** for arranging our tour to **Longewala** and **Tanot Border**. The trip was very well organized, with a well-maintained car and a polite, professional driver, making the experience smooth and enjoyable.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience that truly reflects the warmth and care of **Taj hospitality**. The dedication and ethos the team carries to create memorable guest experiences is amazing. Thank you for making our stay so special and memorable. ✨
