Hôtel de Montesquieu

I had stayed at Hotel de Montesquieu a couple of years ago and truly enjoyed it as a charming boutique property, which is why I chose to return. Unfortunately, this time was the complete opposite of my previous experience.

Upon arrival, I was shocked to discover that the hotel’s AC system was out of service. Management did not notify guests in advance, and we were only informed after check-in — an unacceptable lack of transparency for a hotel of this level.

To make matters worse, when I had to reach under the bed to retrieve something that had fallen, I was appalled to find heavy dust and dust balls accumulated there. This level of cleanliness is simply inexcusable.

Overall, what was once a delightful stay turned into a very disappointing and frustrating experience. The lack of honesty about the AC situation and the poor housekeeping standards make it difficult to recommend this property anymore.

This is a great small boutique hotel - very quiet & understated. Nice rooms, very good staff and an easy walking location for many sights in Paris.

The service provided was outstanding, characterized by attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. The location is ideal, situated just off the bustling Champs-Élysées on a tranquil side street, allowing for a peaceful retreat from the lively atmosphere while still being within easy reach of all the action.

Amazing!!!!!! The hotel is in relatively quiet area and feels very safe. As a solo traveler this was very important to me. The hotel is well maintained and the employees were all very kind. The room was gorgeous and huge! The next time I go to Paris, this will be the hotel I stay at.

This hotel is so beautiful - wow - the rooms are gorgeous - the service impeccable - sooo safe - probably the most safe I’ve ever felt while traveling in Europe. They keep the hotel front door locked at night and they keep your keys safe for you as you leave the hotel. The rooms are gorgeous - so huge and the bed is so comfy 😭 I stayed at a 1700 dollar hotel in Aix en Provence and I slept better at this hotel than I did at that hotel and this hotel room was only 400 or so. There is no restaurant at the hotel but they do have a pretty good breakfast and they bring you juices and macaroons just such a sweet experience. Just so happy with this hotel. I will absolutely be coming back.

We had a good stay; the suite was quiet, and the black out shades were great. The Staff were friendly & helpful. The location was convenient to restaurants and shopping. We would stay again at the property when we return to Paris next.

3 star at best, dirty floor, stained towels, broken fittings in the room that were never repaired, the list goes on. There are better choices elsewhere!

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous decor, lovely rooms and great location and best of all, the best service I’ve ever received in Paris. Front desk was consistently helpful kind and professional - not always the case at all in France! For example I called and asked if there was any possibility to get my room earlier so I could get changed before my meeting - they upgraded me to a lovely suite just to accommodate my early arrival. Highly recommended and actually a great price too.

Wonderful property! The front desk staff were so accommodating and friendly. The location is fantastic to walk around the city and the rooms were luxurious and clean. Will be staying again on our next trip!

We had a lovely visit that checked all of our boxes. Larger room, quiet, clean, hardwood floors, bathroom with solid high quality fixtures, bathrobe, windows that open and black out curtains. The staff was always available and very helpful. The hotel is tucked away on a one way street in a neighborhood close to tourist attractions but not “too touristy “.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Looks newly renovated. The staffs were friendly, personable and attentive. We booked the suite rm and it was spacious. There was a cute tiny balcony. Breakfast was good. Location, it is walkable to Arc De Triomphe and Champs Elysees.
