This hotel is so centrsal -right next to Tower Hill station it's an easy walk to borough market, which is brilliant, and Tower Bridge.
Foyer was lovely and we had water and oranges whilst we waited for our room to be ready.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was fabulous with a massive bed and so spacious. We got sent a complimentary half bottle of wine to enjoy in the room.
Gorgeous pool, spa and gym.

The standard of the room was better than we were expecting. It felt like a higher quality hotel than the price was for. The staff were very attentive and helpful.

The room we were given was beautiful. The manager who booked us in was lovely and Anmar and Maria in the restaurant were lovely and attentive when we went had breakfast
I had arranged and paid for a late checkout of 1pm in advance when we booked the room, which the manager confirmed at the time of booking. The night before we were due to leave, I checked again with reception to ensure the late checkout was noted, and this was again confirmed.
However, on the day of departure we received a call from reception at 11.20am stating that it was 11.20 and that we were late checking out. I explained that we had booked and paid for a late checkout until 1pm. The receptionist then checked the system and said, “Oh yes, I can see that now.”
Shortly afterwards, at around 11.40am, there was a knock at the door from a member of staff who again said that checkout was 11am. I explained once more that we had arranged a late checkout. She then looked at her list, realised the mistake, and apologised.
While the staff member was polite and apologetic, being contacted twice in this way made us feel somewhat badgered to leave the room. In the end we actually left earlier than planned and I did mention this to the duty manager before leaving.
Up until this point we had a delightful stay, so it was disappointing that what appeared to be a breakdown in communication about our late checkout slightly tarnished the end of an otherwise very enjoyable visit. Had we not been in the room when the call or knock came, I am unsure what might have happened.
The view from the room was magnificent.

The size of the room was excellent. The complimentary wine and water was great to have on arrival and the bed was extremely comfortable.
The bathroom was extremely small and dated and could have done with being upgraded. The living room area could also do with a TV in it to make the area more useable.
