We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Hyatt Riverfront. The room (and view) was terrific; the food at Morton’s was fabulous (as was our waitress, Shanice). But one staff member in particular —Vivian— made the visit very special. She was welcoming, warm, and went out of her way to be helpful and kind. Hope to return to Jax soon, and will definitely stay here. Thanks for a great visit.

I recently attended a 4 day conference at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront. I attended prior conferences held in Las Vegas, New Orleans and Dallas. I looked forward to a good showing in my hometown. Sadly, Hyatt did not miss an opportunity to embarrass the city, the Hyatt brand and this attendee.
The building was in disrepair with wooden trim falling apart, outdated restrooms with chipped urinals and select escalators not working. For two days, river views were blocked by a multilevel river cruise barge tied to the dock in front of the hotel. Meeting spaces were either cramped or a few rows deep and 100 yards wide.
Conference meals are typically excellent. We were served: cantaloupe slices (several trays) and a stack of prewrapped breakfast sandwiches. They repeated the ‘pre-wrapped breakfast” with a burrito another day. The execution was substandard for a Motel 6.
Lunch selections were nearly as sad, with the dishes emptying frequently. Diners took what was left instead of waiting for the empty dishes to be replaced- the food was not worth their time. My vegan colleague had nothing to eat despite completing a questionnaire about food restrictions. Even the salad dressing was not vegan. The food was “gas station” grade- and that’s a generous appraisal.
I doubt that any attendee will return to the Hyatt. Since attendance on the final day was about 50%, the conference may not return to Jacksonville. Jacksonville deserves better than Hyatt.

I went for a conference and stayed for a week. I was greeted warmly upon arrival and the customer service continued from there!!

I ate in all the restaurants and had excellent experiences in each of them. I highly recommend the happy hour at the Tavern! Always service with a smile!!!

My room was always sparkling clean, and done first thing in the morning which I prefer. I often had to catch up on some work at lunch.

The conference facilities were excellent, catering was great and I just can’t say enough good about this property!! Would definitely recommend!!

They had everything ready for my anniversary with my wife and it was just relaxing and clean, and quiet and lovely. My wife loved the room and the help from the front desk and my kids loved the pool!
