Good sized room- easy to move around.
Chosen because it was close to the Garden and Flower show.
Comfortable bed.
Occasionally there was noise and loud door closing from the corridor.
Obviously the corridors are being upgraded and were unfinished.
What I like are, surrounded with many restaurants, cafes , grocery store and malls. Everything is walking distance.
Pet friendly as well.
The thing I don’t like is, in the night when you’re going to sleep are too noisy from outside.
Great location, friendly reception staff.
Property currently being renovated which wasn’t disclosed on booking but no tradie noise - just no floor coverings in lift/hallways.
Closer to the restaurant , shopping malls and also hospital.
Carpet is under maintained and in the night is quite so noisy
Location
Fridge wasn't cleaned out. There was still a bottle of coke in there . Lifts seemed a bit dodgy to work at times . Noisy on Saturday night.
Right in the heart of Chinatown, this little self sufficient room met all my needs. A comfortable space, good location, friendly staff, walking distance to buses, trams and trains and of course the pulse of the city. This was my second time staying here, and I will use it again.
Location was excellent. We stayed at the property to watch a show at Her Majesty’s Theatre and it was just 50m away so just a very short walk.
The absence of carpet/floor covering on the hallway which makes it look very tired and unkempt.
Close to where we had to go. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were mostly clean and roomy
Bathrooms had started to get mould in seals.
room wasnt ready till after 2pm
In the heart of Chinatown and close to many food options. Her Majesty's theatre right next door. A busy area especially at night which doesn't bother us. Couldn't really hear much noise from our apartment - except for the rubbish trucks and street sweepers early morning. Bed was comfy and huge. Room spacious enough with adequate kitchen. Laundry had a washer and a dryer including washing powder sachet -which we were thankful for.
Seemed to be in the midst of upgrade which we weren't alerted to but it wasn't a problem, just a surprise on arrival. Had a little challenge getting the lift to register our key card but worked it out eventually.
Location is fantastic. China Town is such a vibrant area to stay in. And with the trams it doesn't take long to get from one corner of the CBD to the other. We paid <$500 for three nights which is really good value.
The apartments are showing definite sign of wear. Missing light covers, mismatched (and not in a good way) couch cushions, rust on the furniture and a bed with a definite hollow. A repaint and some new furniture would really lift the apartments. We stayed here a year ago and reported the same issues. Would be happy to pay a bit more for a better quality bed and a thoroughly cleaned apartment.
The kitchen enables self catering / takeaway however there's no hand towel or paper towels. Also only given one satchet of dishwashing liquid for a multinight stay making washing up each night not possible.
The girls and boys at the front desk are very friendly and able to provide timely help. I am very grateful to them for showing me the passion of Melbourne City.
Although the bed sheets and covers are changed regularly. But the quilt inside has many dirty marks. It would be even better if pillows and blankets could be disinfected regularly. I have sensitive skin, the unhygienic pillows and blankets caused me to be allergic to mites, resulting in severe rashes all over my face for about 3 weeks durning my vacation there.
