Room size was okay, desk was okay to work on, bed was comfortable, walk-in shower with good pressure and hot water, friendly reception staff
The elevators sound like they could breakdown any minute, there is only a small fridge in the room, no freezer, and only a small microwave with only 1 powerlevel (max), no kitchenware at all (which is mentioned there is), the refrigerator makes a lot of noise. The air conditioning turns on by itself at 6 in the morning even though it is switched off from the control panel. Room cleaning should be done every other day, but the first 5 days there was no cleaning at all, after asking for cleaning there was only 1 towel in my room. The breakfast is poor, like most hotels in the US everything is instant food which tastes like plastic and of course all plastic plates, cups, cutlery etc, definitely not environmental friendly
I loved the cleanliness of the room. It was immaculate. In addition, I also liked the layout of the room. The bathroom was very private. I was alone; but if I had visitors, the bathroom layout would have been ideal. I loved the staffers. Both the night clerk and the day people the next morning were warm, welcoming, accommodating, and helpful. For example, the night clerk gave me helpful info about how close I was to NCCU and how long it would take me to get there. She also told me that I could easily get an Uber or Lyft if I needed one to or from your location. The day staffers were very cheerful and held my luggage while I went to an accepted students' tour on the NCCU campus and allowed me to leave my car there in the lot until I got back after I had checked out. They also directed me to a downstairs bathroom that I could use before getting back on the road to Richmond. The free breakfast was adequate and had what I wanted--oatmeal with lots of fixings and beverages. The shower was easy to operate and worked perfectly, so I had an enjoyable morning shower before leaving. The elevator worked quietly and efficiently. The room temperature device worked well. There were plenty of towels. The pulldown shades worked well. My stay here was brief but very comfortable, uneventful and restful. My stay was what you would expect when paying for a nice hotel. Maybe this place is newer or renovated. I guess I have been staying in some places that have the facade of being renovated, but inside the rooms there are a lot of problems--balky toilets, noisy room HVAC, hard to adjust showers. I came to this room after a four-hour drive, so I was really tired. I was happy that there were no issues with this room that needed addressing. I was also impressed that at some point I must have indicated when I made the reservation that I am a little hard of hearing in one ear. It was noted and I was given a room for hard of hearing. I am far from deaf, but I was impressed.
I didn't like the miniature light fixtures on the sides of the beds. They look like they were designed for reading in bed, but I could not adjust them to an angle where I could read anything. However, I use books for sedatives to go to sleep, so I went to sleep in no time and didn't need them. This is a small thing, but I noticed it since I recently renovated a bathroom at home. The toilet in this bathroom had a gold handle on the toilet. However, no other fixtures in this bathroom were gold except the handle on the entrance door. Everything else was silver or chrome colored; so the toilet handle just stood out as odd. It also needed to be held down to flush the toilet completely.

Being back in the area I can still recommend Springhill Suites as a good place to stay.
Large rooms, well equipped, complementary breakfast, and friendly staff is making your stay comfortable.
Select a room opposite to the highway, and your sleep might even be better.
The room was amazing!
NO POOL! Hotel was fine, exactly what you’d expect from a 20yr old SpringHill suites but just be aware there is no pool despite many sites having pictures of one. They have turned it into a conference room. My kids were really disappointed since that was a main reason for booking this hotel.

Impressed with the property and with the staff.
Overall very clean and quiet. Staff friendly and went above and beyond to assist our needs. Will stay here again on next visit.
