Amazing villa! We live at the villa right next to the jungle. Hearing the birds, waterfalls all the time, very chilled. Infinity pool at our own villa and also at public area. The best breakfast ever had, a lot of variety, super high food quality. And friendly staff, everyone is kind to us. And we also try the activities through hotel the leaf carving, a traditional Balinese writing. And hotel near to the famous waterfall and rice terrace. Memorable experience. If you want a retreat from urban life, this is the choice to go!

Our overall experience in Bali was absolutely incredible. The hotel was truly beautiful, with great facilities and a wonderful atmosphere. What really made our stay special, however, were the people working there — everyone was exceptionally friendly, always smiling, and genuinely eager to help with anything we needed. We felt welcomed, cared for, and completely relaxed throughout our stay. I would highly and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel without hesitation! If you’re visiting Bali, this is definitely the place to stay!

The experience was magical for 1st time honey mooners. The staff were very kind, welcoming and approachable at all times. the service can be described as above 5-star hospitality facility. As for the atmosphere, it was so quiet, relaxing, while the scenery was breath-taking.

We had an amazing experience from check in to all meals, to check out….service was caring and informative. We loved our stay and will definitely come back with our families.

Puri Wulandari is the perfect place for a getaway located in the serene jungles of the Ubud area. I stayed in a single bedroom villa and it had the amenities I was looking for (private pool, outdoor living space, and a gorgeous backdrop). The staff is one of the best features. Qonita is very warm and welcoming, Rudy made sure I had what I needed, Sarmini made sure I was fed and had breakfast packed and ready for me when I had early morning tours, and Chef Made is hilarious as he showed me how to create some delicious Balinese dishes.

I highly recommended the Puri Wulandari if you’d like the proximity of Ubud without the hustle and bustle of the city center.

Puri Wulandari is a hidden treasure surrounded by jungle, rice fields, and the deep green valley of the Ayung River.

Everything was perfect. The hotel was clean and peaceful. The staffs were very helpful and caring. You may see some bugs but don’t forget you’ll stay in the jungle so it’s normal.

And the dinner was so great also the breakfast
The chef seems to be very talented, we had the best food in bali there
So privacy place and the security is too high

This is a fabulous hotel, with even better staff…they really made our stay. They are genuinely lovely and can’t do enough to ensure your stay is wonderful. Rudy was especially fabulous.

Qonita, Widia, Rudy, Wyan were all great, the cooking class Chef, the great bar tenders and amazing waitresses. Spa was amazing and the views and service and adventures were incredible.

Very relaxing and calming experience. Lovely and friendly staff ready to help with anything and everything. Amazing location overlooking their beautiful jungle and rice paddies. There is no street noise from the main street providing and luxurious and secluded experience.I would 100% recommend

We cannot recommend this resort highly enough! Totally relaxing and peaceful. The staff, the view, the food, and the overall atmosphere was beyond our expectations. We had a 3 bedroom villa which was really a one bedroom villa and a two bedroom villa all within our own private space with a gorgeous infinity pool and views of the jungle.

We had to get a buggy most times to get to the restaurant as we were one of the lowest villas, so a strenuous walk up either stairs or a steep path. But it was very quick and easy - and felt like a Disneyland ride!

There is no gym and no real way to exercise easily given the location so you do need to be happy to do not a lot! But there are plenty of activities if you want to do them. We personally only got massages at the resort, and from another place nearby (when resort spa was booked up). The rest of the time we just enjoyed reading, swimming, eating and relaxing. A perfect break from our very busy lives.

Staying at Puri Wulandari was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had. The setting is serene and tranquil, surrounded by the most lush green jungle. It truly feels like you have stepped into another world.

What makes this place so special goes far beyond the surroundings. The staff are exceptional, warm, kind, and genuinely caring. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and their thoughtfulness made every moment feel personal.

What really stood out to me was the beautiful connection they all seem to share with each other. It was refreshing and heartwarming to see such genuine camaraderie and joy among them. We shared so many laughs, and their friendliness made us feel completely at home.

The atmosphere of Puri Wulandari is wonderful. The staff are exceptionally nice , welcoming and attentive.

Our room was fantastic and a lot bigger than we thought it'd be. We felt like we were hidden away from the outside world. The villa is well suited to couples on a honeymoon, or even someone needing a getaway but wanting to get some work done while abroad. The outdoor area was totally roofed so even in the rain of the wet season we could sit outside and catch up on emails on our laptops and have a drink. There is a convenient outdoor mini bar to store drinks.

The location of the hotel has its pluses and minuses. On the plus side, you feel like you're properly in the jungle with lush forest to look at while you swim in your private pool. That was probably the best part.
On the negative side, you're a decent hike out of town, you need to get taxis to go anywhere of significance. It's about 20 - 30 minutes to the main strip in Ubud because of traffic.

Overall, It wasn't cheap, but we felt like we got our money's worth.

One slight negative was the food. It definitely wasn't bad as such. But we had breakfast and lunch/dinner included in our package and after a couple of days of the limited menu we were ready to eat out. A lot of the food seemed a little too cold when it arrived at our table. I'm not sure whether some of it was pre-cooked. Dishes which sounded good on paper, often tasted a little bland when we received them. I'm not sure whether this was a different menu than everyone else got. And there was never any salt and pepper on the table , we had to ask for it constantly.
I would recommend downloading the grab and gojek apps. We had some fantastic poke bowls delivered to the security gate one day. And the delivery food is much cheaper than home in Australia.

Cleanliness-wise the place was great. It's very quiet too. You will get the occasional ant or insect running around but you're in the jungle, that's too be expected. We found a frog nest in the swimming pool the second morning and moved it to our small fish pond with resident frog, Kenneth. We got to slowly watch the eggs hatch and our pond become full of baby tadpoles over a few days, which was pretty cool.

The toilets in the hotel were fantastic. I wished we had toilets like that back home -the size , the flushing mechanism, the hose on the wall - there was never any nasties left as soon as you flushed.

TIPS to the owner to make it better

The coffee cups in the room are far too small. They need to be twice as big. Putting a full satchet into such small cups makes it far too strong. Most hotels I've stayed in have cheap pod/nespresso machines.

There's shampoo in the bathroom but no conditioner. People need conditioner! My partner and I both had super dry ratty hair after swimming in the pool everyday and then having to use shampoo without conditioner.
