Relaxing low key not noisy. Friendly staff great view. Easy beach access. 4 star property. No breakfast but good breakfast next door. Room had water running down on the floor twice but they fixed it twice. Very friendly staff. Drinks were lacking , no ginger ale ginger beer no mocktails. Towels plentiful.
I was so excited when I arrived and saw all the new updates on the property, the grounds are lush and beautiful - I felt like I had stepped into another world! The cleanliness surpassed all expectations. The personnel are very professional and friendly. Just the place you are comfortable with and want so much to experience again and again!!
Our second visit to this resort, now under Fiesta Americana ownership. We enjoyed this stay and found the staff adjusting okay to the new management. Our general overview is that the remodeling will enhance the resort experience but the construction noise during the days was not so wonderful. A suggestion to the resort's management -- encourage your wait staff to focus on asking more questions of the pool visitors. If a drink is ordered, ask if they want to also see a menu. Don't wait for the visitor to ask for one. Offer daily special drinks during happy hour at perhaps a reduced price. Offer daily food specials prepared at the restaurant that is right next to the pools. Boosting drink and food orders at the pool areas will increase resort revenues and benefit food servers with more tips. This seems like an area to be addressed by the new management and it will improve visitor expectations.
With the change in resort ownership recently (now Fiesta Americana affiliated), there seems to be some disconnection between the focus on customer service around the pool area. The staff do an okay job in taking care of the visitors, but they are not focusing on asking simple questions like -- "would you like to see a menu" when they deliver a drink order, or "how was your drink or food today", or "do you have any questions or special needs during your stay". The resort management needs to reinforce the importance to staff that getting additional food or drink orders helps the bottom line for the resort and for the servers through tips. The staff were very friendly and assisted when we approached them with questions, so they do a good job in representing the Fiesta Americana brand.
See my above comments.
I went to this resort as a pre purchased shore excursion, which was including lunch, lunch was terrible, not what everyone else was having, just items for tacos ( all liquid fillings) we were allowed 2 drinks for the day. The staff were not friendly, made me feel as though they hated having the tour group show up.
The pool is small, access to the beach isn't what it looks like in pictures, there's actually a wall in the way, you need to go around the back of the resort to use stairs to get to the beach, when you get there, you will be harassed by sellers the entire time.
Would never recommend this resort.
We recently spent two fantastic weeks at Sunvivia by Fiesta Americana, formerly The Inn. We have always loved the location with its great beach and plenty of nearby restaurants. But what really made this trip special was the staff. Outstanding!! Two individuals who really went that “extra mile” were Marco and Adrian. Thank you both!!
We look forward to returning to Sunvivia by Fiesta Americana!!!
We traveled to Mazatlan on a Mission trip with our church All Creation. We coordinated our interactions in Mazatlan with the YWAM (Youth With a Mission) Head Quarters in Mazatlan. We were a large group and we had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is at a wonderful location in the Golden Zone. The Hotel had wonderful rooms, good views right on the water, and enjoyed the restaurant co-located at the hotel.
