Cons:

Было очень холодно. Когда заселились в номер, то сотрудник включи кондиционер для обогрева, но он совершенно не грел, а делал только хуже. Хорошо, что я сам догадался, где и как можно включить батарею. В общем, в холодное время года лучше сюда не ехать.

My wife and I had an excellent stay at Hotel Tashkonak during our time in Istanbul. The place was remarkably clean, absolutely spotless from top to bottom. Above all, the staff was perfect in everything, constantly going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Highly recommended

Great location, genuinely friendly staff and real value for money.
Pros:

The breakfast was one of the best I ever had in hotels. I don't know if this is standard in Turkish hotels, but Tashkonak provides great choice of warm and cold dishes to choose from - everything is fresh and tasty.
The staff is friendly and helpful - we asked for suggestions for sightseeing, and the plan that front desk guy suggested us worked just perfect. Really appreciated.
There is also the terrace on the roof with a great view at Bosphorus.
Great location - five minutes walk from the hippodrome and Blue Mosque.
Cant't really ask for more for this price. :)

Cons:

Small items like electric sockets, door and window locks are crying for change (lot of them damaged, but still working), but this is just a minor nuisance.

Pros:

The staff truly made the difference and covered many of the hotel’s general issues.
The reception team, especially the guy with the ponytail, were extremely helpful and kind with everything we asked for.
The location is very convenient and makes getting around easy.

Cons:

The hotel definitely needs renovation, and the breakfast was quite basic.
Overall, it offers good value for money for a low-cost hotel, mainly thanks to the friendly and helpful staff.
