Security Issue
Pros:

I stay at the Mercure Roxy around 10 times a year, but generally for one night only as I am transiting Singapore.
I suffered a security breach by the Hotel during my last stay as another guest accessed my room with a key card. Fortunately I was in my room at the time. To put it mildly, he did not stay very long! I am not implying that the person who entered my room would have done anything inappropriate had I not been present, but I had my laptop, passport, cash etc on the desk.
I found this to be totally inexcusable yet the Hotel passed it off with an apology stating that there was an mixup in their system. That is a pretty lame excuse for incompetence in my opinion.
I decided to attach the door chain on my room, just in case this ‘mixup’ occurred again but when I went to do so, I discovered that the door chain was broken and of no use at all.
Needless to say, I am not impressed . That is all that is needed to be said on this matter. Potential guests can make their own minds up.

Good Food. Even Better Service.
Pros:

Celebrated Chinese New Year during my stay.
Room was properly prepared. Check-in was a breeze. Heartfelt thanks to Venus for making it a smooth check-in.
Had my reunion dinner at Feast@Roxy.
The buffet spread was excellent. Food was delicious. Thumbs up for Chef Lester.
The atmosphere was so up for the occasion.
Appreciate Jojo, Eddy, Edison and Gabriel for their excellent service.
