Room was clean. Not terribly modern but that’s okay. We were given a voucher to stay here from our airline after a travel day from hell. From the start everyone we interacted with was a gem.
Adam took our call from the airport and unfortunately had the pleasure of letting us know there wasn’t a shuttle from the airport despite what the airline had told us. He gave us an economical cab option and was very kind even though we were stressed.
Rob at the front desk checked our disheveled butts into the hotel and realized we had nothing but our backpacks. He gave us toothbrushes and toothpaste complementary and helped us track down other toiletry options we could purchase.
I went down alone for the breakfast Buffett (15.95 plus tax) and Lynn was just a sweetheart. She noticed I was a hot mess after the rough night and was kind and attentive while I ate.
Truly, your team at this hotel is your biggest asset.
If I could give any recommendations it would be:
At least have a simple toiletry kit for free or one kit with floss, deodorant, a hair brush, toothpaste, etc, rather than paying for each individual piece.
Paying for the buffet when I was expecting some sort of food for free was disappointing.
Our room was out of lotion and did not have coffee even though there was a coffee maker. So having options besides tea would have been greatly appreciated
Rob at the front desk really made the overnight stay amazing from the start! So kind, told us about the Lucky Monk restaurant that we could walk to, which was so good!! We were able to check in early due to our room being done. That was a huge bonus! We understood we may have not been able to, that’s not a guarantee, but he took our luggage so we could walk and not worry about all our bags. Honestly, Rob was just great! So many other hotels, people act annoyed you are there! That’s why people avoid hotels a lot… but that’s not here. Rob is welcoming.
The room we had was on the end and on the 5th floor. It was extremely quiet. Maybe it was because it was a Sunday? If it’s pretty much this quiet all the time we would stay again. Sitting outside was nice, had breakfast delivered and sat out there.
Rooms are clean, basic but clean and good A/C. We will take good A/C, cleanliness, and quietness over any fancy items for the room. There are charging ports and modern lights. Wish there were no rugs… but again, it was clean!
Only downside- smoking section SHOULD NOT be right out the main entrance where everyone waits for cars etc.
This 2-star review is NOT indicative of the staff/management. The people I met during this stay were great especially the lady who runs the breakfast area.
This review is concerning the ownership and the Food & Beverage policies for the Diamond/Gold members. To tell me I cannot order anything I want from the breakfast menu is asinine! I should be able to use my Hilton Benefit however I want. And to NOT have a mechanism in place to be able to purchase a continental breakfast (bagel, toast, etc.) should not be allowed by Hilton! Go to Jewel and get some $.99 cent bagels!!
The road noise is a legitimate concern if you stay here. Although our first time here, I would recommend bringing a fan for white noise (or just use your phone and go to youtube, tons of white noise videos/sounds) and/or stay in odd numbered rooms.
Great Breakfast Service
Lynn was super friendly and made my day start off with a smile.
The Ham & Cheese scrambled eggs were delicious.
Bravo to whom brought Lynn onboard the Garden Inn. What a wonderful experience from a Lovely person. She is so dedicated to provide a comforting experience before we tackle a busy rainy day.
My stay was enhanced because of the excellent assistance I was given by Alyssa Davis at the front desk. I have a disability due to a form of Muscular Dystrophy.Alyssa got a luggage cart helping unload my luggage, taking up to my room and removing all from the cart. Plus when I was leaving I had forgotten my jacket and she went back to my room and brought it to me. I also received excellent help from Javier and Cesar on separate occasions bringing a cart to my room helping load it and then taking it to my Equinox and putting it all into my vehicle. I really appreciated this help from all of them, especially Alyssa as I’m dealing with the death of a son in law this past week and still rehabbing from my third hip replacement surgery since May 2023. I have two more extended stays coming up this week and another in a month or less & look forward to the same excellent service. There were others that also helped but I didn’t get their names. Alyssa went above and beyond to help me both times that I had arrived. Bill C.
The reason I chose this hotel was the price, and as they say: You get what you pay for. Overall, it was an okay hotel, close to I-90 highway, restaurants, and some shops were near by as well. The lobby was well-kept and inviting, and the elevators were clean.
The reason for three stars was because the hallways were littered with trash from hotel members, there was loud highway noises at night, and the breakfast buffet is not worth the $16.00 price tag.
The trash in the hallways is something a hotel should never allow because it is not welcoming to others, plus it invites bugs and rodents. The loud noises from the highway are not the hotel's fault, but it made our stay not as pleasant. And the breakfast was simply not worth the $16.00 per person. Fruit loops and a muffin with almond milk are not worth that price. It is worth acknowledging that they did have eggs, fruit, and sausage in the buffet, but we were not made aware that they could make-to-order items like: waffles, omelettes, etc. If we had known that these things could be ordered then we would not have had a problem with the price.
My suggestion: make it well known that breakfast is not automatically included in your stay and be sure to advise that the breakfast team can make items like: waffles, pancakes, and omelettes.
One last thing to note: please fix your bathroom and entry doors. Our bathroom was clearly needed an adjustment as was our entry hotel door.
Overall, I got what I paid for- but I will not always consider the lowest price again.
Lovely place! Got it for under $100 including taxes and fees. Lynn at breakfast was especially kind.
Rooms were nice
I didn’t like the fact when we got there was a garbage bag by our door and wasn’t picked up until I said something loud and staff heard the next day right before I was going to check out of my room
We had a two night stay— when we came back for the 2nd night, there was an off smell in our room. Rob from the front desk was amazing and moved us to another room immediately, even bringing up a cart and new keycards for us. Cozy clean and quiet. The breakfast wait staff was also awesome.
Lynn was so helpful and we had a wonderful stay! Thank you so much Lynn for a great breakfast and excellent service!
Breakfast server was Lynn and once again, a great experience. Kind, caring and attentive, she managed a mass influx of guests with poise and professionalism. She’s a rock star!
Great service- especially from Lynn in the restaurant.
Beautiful comfortable room, great easy on easy off location and Lynn made breakfast a very nice experience. Personable and kind….need more Lynn’s 😊
Lifetime diamond member. Lynn’s hospitality was amongst the best I had ever received. With a “free” breakfast, you wouldn’t think someone would go so much out of her way to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone. But she does! We will definitely be back again. Thanks Lynn!!!
The hotel staff are very friendly and the hotel is very clean. I had breakfast at the hotel. Lynn was great. Very friendly and attentive.
Nice hotel to stay. Very clean and comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Rob at at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming.
