The location is great for downtown
The room was cozy, I hated that the roof top is closed on Sunday
Roof top being closed
Well cleaned, equipes and Ready when arrived. Would suggest a safety box and a small refrigerador. Besides that’s everything was fantásticas.
Only one elevator was working.
The Hilton has completely forgotten about this hotel. It's a beautiful, historic hotel that Hilton has let fall into disrepair.
We booked a room with "2 queen beds". The beds were doubles. The rooms do not match the obline photos. No desk, chairs, lamps, etc. The furniture that was in the room, was falling apart/ broken. Toilet accessories were falling out of the wall.
The restaurant was completely understaffed - 1 person was the host and waitress for the entire restaurant. The food was horrible.
This hotel was AWFUL!!
The staff was courteous and responsive. They were the only redeeming quality. Shame on Hilton for ruining an historic building!
It looks super nice but the elevator was broken and super old and you can hear how loud and old it is in the room it moves throughout the whole night
THERE IS NO REFRIGERATOR huge take away so if you have left overs this not the hotel for you the lighting in the room was dumb as well only sources of light is the bathroom and a closest
I stayed one night here, and I cannot recommend it. I paid way too much ($400!) for a hotel that had scratched walls, dirty floors in the elevator and hallway, and a general sense of disrepair. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Unfortunately all night I could hear the banging of the elevator as its gears clanked and echoed into my room (room 301). Even the planters at the front entrance looked sad and neglected. I thought Hilton properties would have a higher standard.
The location was fantastic! Cool historical building. The pillows were great! Nice view of the city.
Customer service was terrible! One small elevator working, roaches in our room, no mini fridge, the double beds are full size instead of queen and uncomfortable, the ac/heater wasn’t working properly, and the elevator noises were loud in our room until early hours of the morning.
The quality and quantity of the BF meal was outstanding, however there was only one staff member taking orders from customers.
The cost of the rooms per night were to expensive. This was the first time in 40 plus years in attending ""The Magic City Classic"", that room cost per night exceeded ( $350.00 -$600.00 ). In previous years cost per night range ( $150.00 - $200.00 ) per night. The upword prices are absolutely ridiculous and cost me $834.00 this year versus $500.00 in previous years. I was told by one of your staff members that IN ORDER TO GET A BETTER OR CHEAPER RATE, call after November 1, 2025 to booked for 2026 Magic City Classic. I was priced $400.00 plus...SAD!!!!
The maintenance and valet workers were the only genuine and nice workers.
Long story short I got there with my group and had cash to pay. They gave me an option and that’s how I knew. I wanted to pay with cash because it was cheaper that way the lady at the desk was so ugly to me. She literally asked me after she told me no cash, Do you not have any money?” And was smacking on some barbecue chips. She was so disrespectful and was saying things as like well we just don’t do it blah blah blah with no real answers. and she said they took cash at checkout but not check in mind you I came three hours away and took out cash specifically because it told me it would be cheaper. The rooms literally had no clean linens. The towels had old makeup on from the previous people and the sheets had stains on them and so did the comforters. The location is the only thing good about this hotel.
The staff was great and the rooftop was a great addition for late night
Beautiful older hotel. Ms. Shvonne at the reception desk was awesome at check in. there were a few hiccups with my digital key on arrival but she was kind enough & saved me a trip back down to the lobby and was able to bring me a hard copy. The room is a little dated for the price but i got a beautiful city view.
