Reasonably priced hotel to stay for one night near downtown Madison.
Pros:

The waffles and coffee were good. The hot tub was nice because we had the entire pool area to ourselves for about 40 minutes.

Cons:

The pillows are small and like rocks. Suggest you bring your own pillows.

Hotel was threadbare in many places and needs attention.
Pros:

Breakfast was a disaster on Monday morning. Nothing was prepared to be opened at 6:00 am on Monday.
The desk staff was very uncooperative in giving a time it would be open. A fellow traveler told me in the elevator at 6:05 AM that this a common experience at this location. Even when they do open much later than 6:00 am it is always only cold items with nothing hot.

Cons:

Paying attention to what they advertise and following through. Responsible desk persons would be a great help as well. I in person at the front desk requested a wake up call for Monday morning when I came in on Sunday evening and the wake-up call never came.

Will definitely consider a different hotel next time.
Pros:

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We prefer to stay on the outskirts of the big cities so the location was great. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

Cons:

This hotel is in the middle of an update. However, the hallways were very dirty. Someone had walked through our hallway with muddy boots prior to our arrival and the dirt left behind was not cleaned up. We were in a separate building from the pool so our trek to the pool with kids was long, which I normally wouldn't complain about, but the stair ways and hallway floors were so dirty and covered in what I'm guessing was remodeling debris. Also, the breakfast was EXTREMELY lacking. Breakfast did not start until 7am on the weekends, but the hot food was not available until much after that. The pastries and muffins were all hard and obviously day or more old. The juice was watered down and there was only one flavor of yogurt. We opted out and went out to eat which was an added expense that we were not expecting. The walls are also very thin. We could hear our neighbors as if they were in the room with us. Including their 5am alarm that would go off for 15 minutes before they finally turned it off.

Bedroom and bathroom was clean and comfortable
Pros:

The breakfast area was never open on time each of my 3 mornings there. Very limited options. Scrambled eggs were very watery

Cons:

Hallways and elevator needed cleaned.
