Room had been recently smoked in.
Very nice place, nice rooms and clean. Thanks
Need better signage for check in process. Great staff Siri g check in with restaurant and drink recommendations
The hotel amenities were great and very clean and helpful employees. My only complaint is the studio room is very cramped if using both the Murphy bed and sleeper sofa. I was traveling with my adult daughter so we both wanted our own bed. The listing did not do a very good job of pointing out the bed is a Murphy bed. This room is ok if not using the sleeper sofa.
Did not realize this was not a hotel. It is a vacation club property. And we were surprised that the main bed was a Murphy bed. Good thing we were here just one night.
We booked a suite with two queen beds and pull-out sofa-bed. The staff is very friendly, the room was very comfortable and the sofa-bed was the best I've ever slept on. The dining table seats six, the bathroom and kitchen are very nice and fully equipped. I used the locker room and swimming pool which is also beautiful. I was extremely satisfied with the accommodations.
They provide free laundry and free detergent so that was nice. Pool water was warm. There was free shuttle service to Vail village every half hour.
We enjoyed it very much. They were nice and efficient. We would stay there again.
I like the quiet and the location, the shuttle very convenient
This is the 3rd year in a row that my mom and I have stayed at Marriott Streamside Birch. It feels like coming home! Updated appliances, updated bathroom, and a spacious living area. We have never had problem with noise of any kind. The shuttle to Vail & Lionshead is a wonderful amenity, it’s such a blessing! There’s a washer and dryer in Birch for free laundry, which is perfect for a week away from home. There’s not AC in the building, but with doors and windows open the breeze is lovely, and they provide a box fan in the bedroom for sleeping. This has been a great third visit to Birch & we’ll definitely be back!
Had an enjoyable stay, though it took some time to find the bed, which was hidden in the closet—something I hadn’t expected! It was a bit warm without AC, but manageable. A fan was provided, though it may not be enough for a summer stay. The place was quiet, with easy check-in and check-out.
We recently stayed at Marriott's StreamSide Birch At Vail and were granted a late checkout. However, when we returned to our room before the agreed time, housekeeping had removed all our items, including food and drinks and personal items. The hotel manager initially promised compensation and a free stay but has since been unresponsive. This lack of follow-through is highly disappointing and unprofessional. I would not recommend this hotel due to their poor handling of guest issues and failure to provide promised compensation. We were not looking for anything more than a reimbursement for the items that were taken but we have had no follow through.
Perfect location for skiing in Vail. There’s a shuttle that takes you to Lionshead, and they have activities throughout the days when you’re not heading to the slopes. Staff is friendly & area is clean with recently (within past few years) updated rooms.
I booked Marriott's StreamSide Birch At Vail through EXPEDIA.COM. It was a NO CANCEL room. Later that day got an email from VACATION SIMPLIFIED telling me they were cancelling my reservation. Confused as to who VACATION SIMPLIFIED was, I called EXPEDIA who said they could not help me & to call VACATION SIMPLIFIED who only had a message saying they were having computer problems. So if I cancel I pay full price, if EXPEDIA/VACATION SIMPLIFIED CANCELS, no penalty at all on their part. Congress should look into these reservation sites just like they are doing with the Airlines. NOT RIGHT/NOT FAIR!!
Front desk was awesome! Thank you
I think I chose to visit at a good time since the apartment didn’t have air conditioning. I had no discomfort in September and enjoyed my multi night stay. There was a Murphy bed which was pretty cool and comfortable, actually. I used the free laundry facilities downstairs. Enjoyed baking brownies and cooking breakfast. Had most utensils I needed, and the market was nearby. I would definitely stay again.
If I could rate zero stars I would. I am a vacation club owner and came into this unit for a week from Chicago. I’m in the 1st level and look over a large mound of dirt out back …an embankment. More like tree roots and weeds. And the appliances are loud and making popping and drilling noises. The second bedroom overlooks a construction dumping ground. Oh and I paid for this lovely week excursion. I’m hotter than hades and Mariott doesn’t care at all which is what is so disappointing. I was told this was my fault since I requested a two bedroom and it’s the two bedrooms that back up to the embankment. No one ever mentioned that at booking and as a matter of fact, it said overlooking a stream. Also no other availability and essentially told me take my issues and ……
This venue was perfect for our 10 days in Vail. We wanted more space than a hotel room but with just 2 of us - we didn't need a whole house. We had the 1 bedroom unit with a kitchen and dining table with sofa and a fireplace plus a little balcony. It was perfect! The shuttle drivers Marc and Jon were excellent, very knowledgeable, we did not utilize any of the other amenities - there was a game room and some nice common spaces in the main building but we were so busy enjoying the Vail Valley that we only made it over there once.
Such a nice resort in a great area. Loved the pool area with hot tubs, indoor/outdoor pool, steam room and sauna. The shuttle into town was really helpful also. The only thing I will say negatively was that we had a Murphy bed which we didn’t expect to have and it was not super comfortable. Aside from that our stay was perfect :)
Extremely nice, clean and comfortable.
