A beautiful stay. Would highly recommend. It was the perfect place for us to relax for a few days after our Everest Base Camp Trek. The hotel is immaculate, very clean and five ⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐ service and hospitality. Thank you
Amazing place , the bar is great . Good breakfast
The hotel is clean. It looks royal and it has a good restaurant. The breakfast spread is really wonderful. It has a collection of Indian continental sushi, Italian, and other cuisines. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kathmandu Nepal. The staff is very friendly and they go out of their way to help anyone that is there as a guest.

Such a nice Place , I got an upgrade being a gold member, staff were amazing , food was great and the bar is amazing . Highly recommended .
Beautiful hotel with great staff that were really friendly and helpful. Just keep in mind that the building is quite old in a neoclassical style so the amenities weren't quite up to par compared to hotels in major cities.
Best hotel and reasonable
The food was amazing
The property was beautiful, the staff was amazing! There was a beautiful bar and a happy hour! The bathroom was a bit small and the room seemed a little dated, but it’s an older palace and the history is so cool. We would return again! The area around the hotel is okay, it’s just very hard to cross a street as the traffic is insane-but that’s all of Kathmandu.
Best experience in Nepal. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants to experience authentic Nepali hospitality.

Fabulous! I’ve never been disappointed yet in the many times I’ve stayed there. It’s always a memorable experience staying at Shanker Hotel. Beautiful architecture, great garden and outdoor pool, and absolutely wonderful staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. If you’ve never been to Kathmandu before then this is the place to stay. You won’t regret it!!!
This is a beautiful hotel with a lot of history. Beautiful architecture and garden. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed here many times. It is my favorite hotel in Kathmandu! I highly recommend staying at Hotel Shankar, especially if it’s your first visit to Nepal. My stays at the hotel are always memorable!
Lovely hotel and staff
The hotel actually has a’family’ ambience. From the doorman to the cleaners and the concierge to the management, everyone is treated fairly and warmly. They are truly ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen.
