This hotel is a good no-frills, affordable choice if you need a place to stay convenient to Dulles Airport and even DC, if you're driving. The staff is super friendly, the rooms are clean, and there is prompt, decent breakfast service. The hotel is tucked away behind the highway, so it's not a walkable area, but it has a ton of restaurants and shops nearby if you have a car (or are willing to hoof it), and it's nice and quiet. I would just add that as a three-star hotel, you're getting exactly what you paid for, nothing more. The property could use a glow-up big time - lots of stains on the carpets, banged-up corners, old fixtures, bad paint jobs, and outdated features. The ice machine on the second floor was out of order my entire stay, and there was a smell emanating from it that took my breath away every time I passed it. I have stayed here a few times and really like the staff - they're really kind and professional - but be aware that some of the clientele can be a bit rowdy, especially on weekends. Again: great property for the basics, easy parking, clean, great staff, etc., but austere.

I didnt stay at Springhill Suites, when I arrived, i was told that they did not have my reservation nor did they have a room for us. We had to find a different hotel. Then i find out i was chsrged for the room!

Loved everything! Great staff, everyone super-friendly, bed extra comfy, loved the spacious rooms, very quiet. Breakfast buffet was kept warm, well stocked, and very neat. Will be back!

Check in was quick and easy. The hotel is not very clean in the halls, elevators and general spaces. Our room was clean when we arrived but we stayed two nights and no one ever came to empty the garbage, bring fresh towels, make the bed or replenish the room coffee. The breakfast was mediocre.
Unfortunately there was ant problem every morning in bathroom area.
I arrived at 1 pm and the room was ready, but the manager wanted to charge an additional $50 for early checkin. I understood that checkin time is officially 3 pm and that the room may not be ready early, but if the room is ready, why not let the customer in? The lines will be shorter for everyone at 3. I have checked in early at hundreds of hotels and none has ever had such an unfriendly policy for customers.

My room was changed before I checked in without any notification. I asked the front desk about it and I was told I could call the manager but they didn’t have the availability for the room I booked. The next morning when I complaint about being given the wrong room. I was told nothing could be done because I booked through a third-party. That night I was able to get the room I booked, however that room at issues bathroom didn’t lock, bathroom exhaust didn’t work causing the fire alarm to go off from steam. Personnel was kind and pleasant. TV service provider was not working for 97 percent of our stay.
The room was very clean, we arrived 3 hours early so I asked if there was a possibility for early check-in and they charged me $50.00. I think that was a bit unreasonable. I would have pay 30.00 about 10.00 per hour without rebuttal, but 50.00 was ridiculous. I reluctant paid the fee only to get to the room and find there were small things that may have been overlooked due to the rushed check-in like there were no bags in the trash cans so we improvised, also the tissue box was 4 sheets shy of empty, and the bathroom had only 2 bath clothes when they knew that the room was for a family of 4 but I guess the way they saw it is if you request an early check in then you get what you get. So not a huge issue to them but it was to us because 50.00 is a bit on the pricey side to not be fully stocked with the necessary items. I'm an ex- hospitality worker and small details make all the difference most times. In hospitality everyone knows it the tissue is blue or orange renew the box.
Breakfast was not as expected in a Marriott. They has sausage on Saturday and Sunday. No bottled water in room and if a guest is only staying for two nights the room should and is expected to be clean after the first night. There are standards as to why people choose certain hotels. I was very disappointed in this hotel.
