The hotel was the final leg of our Scottish holiday with family from Australia.
We had a very good meal in the restaurant and a wonderful breakfast the next morning. We particularly liked that the cooked breakfast was prepared to order.
Everything in the rooms was perfect - just what we needed.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel! The staff were very friendly and kind — they accommodated every request I had. I was a bit worried about the area at first, but it’s actually a lovely suburb and everything is within walking distance, 50 minutes walk to Edinburgh castle (I’m from London, so I’m used to that). For the price, it was completely worth it.
The room itself was very nice as well.
The only downside was the dining room service, which is much more expensive than it should be — even pricier than airport food. I’d recommend making the short trip to a nearby restaurant instead. Only disappointment from my stay, £22 for fish and chips and hardly any chips, soggy battered fish.
There was one night when there was no hot water, and I had to wait about 15 minutes for it to come back.
I had the warmest welcome as soon as I arrived and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My room was very warm, clean and comfortable with everything I needed for my stay. The hotel is very well located for Murrayfield Stadium and although a little out of the city centre the public transport links are excellent.

We had a lovely stay at the Murrayfield Hotel, a quaint and charming hotel with an integrated pub that adds a really cozy touch. Our room was pleasant and spacious, with more than enough room for our needs.
What really stood out was the staff – incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help.
The hotel is a little outside the centre of Edinburgh, but getting into town is super easy: there’s a bus that stops right in front of the hotel and takes you straight to the city centre. Very convenient and stress-free.
Overall, a great stay and a place we’d happily recommend.
