Pros:

We liked the decoration and restaurant. They let us park in the morning so we could take the great bus system into Edinburgh. They even told us which bus to take. They have everything you need in your room. They had robes and slippers.

Cons:

The loose rock to drag the suitcases through to building 4. Score of 9.75 due to this.

Niet vierster waardig hotel! Bespaar je geld en boek iets anders in Edinburgh

Locatie, met de bus binnen 10 minuutjes in het centrum van Edinburgh.

Cons:

Wij waren zeer teleurgesteld over Murrayfield. We hebben aardig wat geld betaald, maar dit hotel is absoluut geen vier sterren waard! Kamer was smoezelig (kapotte en vieze raambekleding, vlekken op het tapijt, haren op bed). De kamer was erg warm, televisie was niet aangesloten en de douche had weinig waterdruk. Ontbijt is middelmatig en een aantal personeelsleden kwamen ongeïnteresseerd over. Klachten gedeeld met personeel bij uitchecken. Dame bij de receptie nam dit serieus en zou dit doorgeven. Nooit meer iets gehoord!

Bespaar je geld en boek een ander hotel als je naar Edinburgh gaat!

Location ideally placed for Murrayfield stadium. Staff and amenities excellent.
Pros:

Staff were helpful and very friendly.
Room was well furnished.
Beds and duvet and pillows very comfortable and we slept well.
Bathroom and WC excellent. Shower very good!!

Cons:

Loved the hotel and would stay again.

Nice, but not clean :/
Pros:

- location
- very nice place (outside+inside)
- tasty breakfast (but maybe bit expensive)
- very nice and helpfull staff

Cons:

- for 4 Star hotel, we expected clean room at least… (hairs in the shower, facehair in the sink, dirty carpet, and dirty bathrobe !!!)
- no air conditioning, if it’s hot there, your problem, small window does not help
- no real doors to the bathroom, just some glass ones, which you can’t really close, there is no door handle with lock, so when you are using the toilet the doors are a little bit open - not very pleasant for us, you want some privacy in the bathroom, even if you are there with your girlfriend, or wife etc…
- price for this experience is way off for us, too much money for this “performance”, I don’t know what criteria is for a 4 Star Hotel, but clean room and equipment should be a standard for every Hotel (note: I wanted to spend my last Booking money for some nice stay in Edinburgh, to make ourself happy, we never been in a 4 Star Hotel, but now I don’t really want to find another one, lots of 3 Star Hotels are better than this one - my opinion)

Lovely hotel
Pros:

We stayed here as our son had his wedding lunch in the Doocot private room. The outside area was great too, for drinks and great photos, weather perfect. Staff were really attentive. The Doocot was a lovely room for our meal. All the guests had a wonderful time.

Nettes Hotel in guter Lage
Pros:

Sehr gute Verkehrsanbindung, freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstück, nettes Haus

Cons:

Es hätte insgesamt sauberer sein können. Toilettenbürsten gab es keine, wir hätten um eine gebeten und haben trotz 2 facher Nachfrage leider keine bekommen.

Well worth the stay
Pros:

Room 7 in the house was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The mini bar was well stocked and the bed was very comfy.

Locatie was goed, met bus zo in het centrum.
Mooie ruime kamer jammer van de doorgezakte stoel en de gordijnen sloten niet. Prettige nieuwe badkamer.
Ontbijt was heel goed en uitgebreid.
Heel vriendelijk personeel

Cons:

Dat we in het huis zaten 2 deuren verder op.
