The people at the front desk were very professional, nice and helpful. The room was great! It was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The hotel is in an excellent location. Balcony view was great and got a nice crisp breeze. The only downside was the noise after 8am. You could hear slaming doors and people walking. The overall experience was great! I will definitely be coming back for a little getaway!

Pier South San Diego was a hip, trendy, friendly, chill place to wind down and sleep. Patricia remembered us with a friendly greeting and graciously hosted happy hour with different snack offerings each evening.

Patricia was fantastic. Super friendly and engaging. She is very thoughtful to a positive experience for the guests. Each day of our five day stay-which included Christmas Day Patricia was welcoming and had a hospitality spread prepared.
She is a vibrant part of the pier south team.

Views, staff, food.

Emily at the front desk was very helpful and answered all my questions. Michael, the valet/security at night is amazing. I felt bad because I didn’t have cash on me to give him a tip, but please make sure he gets some sort of recognition. He went above and beyond and bringing blankets and pillows to the room.

Hammie the manger here at this hotel was amazing very helpful and accommodating I came to celebrate my birthday and they made it a grate experience for me. Ozzie from valet was awesome as well he was a gentleman and made sure my card door was opened at all times. My favorite resort thus far!!!

Fantastic Hospitality! Room sits directly on the Beach, very spacious clean and perfect decor for a Beach stay. The restaurant Sammy's was delicious with excellent service. Great little town to walk and safe night life. Very romantic spot. Will come again . Pleasantly surprised by the service and unique personality of the staff and accommodations for all our needs. Free Happy Hour on the roof lounge was a nice extra.

Terrible location with an abundance of criminal activity, poor and trashy upkeep of property grounds and internal spaces. Room booked was not as advertised and

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a very pleasant experience. The property itself is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, and the room was comfortable with all the amenities I needed. Most of the stay felt relaxing and enjoyable.

There were a couple of issues, though. I felt that the receptionist was a bit rude during check-in, which made the arrival experience less welcoming than expected. I also had a concern with the valet service — after getting my car back, I noticed some of my cigarettes were missing. I can’t say for certain what happened, but it left me uneasy about the valet process.
Aside from those points, everything else was great, and the hotel itself is genuinely nice. With a bit more attention to customer service, it could easily be a perfect stay.

I am always amazed by the tranquility at Pier South Resort. It truly feels like a perfect slice of Coronado Island. Their ocean-view suites offer breathtaking sunrise and sunset views; my absolute favorite part of staying here.

This was my second stay, during my birthday celebration, and the team went above and beyond to make it special. A heartfelt thank you to Emeli at the front desk, whose handwritten note, drinks, and cupcake with a candle made my day and genuinely warmed my heart. When I first arrived, I was checked in by Jess, who made sure to follow up on my stay. She also introduced me to bellman Ozzy, whose kindness and assistance with my luggage were outstanding.

I enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Roppongi, where Maxine provided exemplary service; attentive to every need while offering excellent menu suggestions and explanations. It was a beautiful, memorable dinner-by-the-sea experience.

The entire F&B team here is stellar. Javier was wonderful to chat with while grabbing breakfast on my final day, and Daniel assisted me with check-out, greeting me with the biggest smile the entire time.

If you’re ever in the San Diego or Coronado Island area, make sure to check out Pier South Resort. While the stunning island views always bring me back, it’s the top-notch service and genuine kindness from everyone here that keep me returning time and time again.

Great service and friendly staff. Beautiful scenery and a nice break from busy downtown. The rooms were large and the views were great. Front Desk Staff was excellent, helpful and very accommodating.
