Fantastic beachfront stay!
We had a wonderful time at Pier South Resort in Imperial Beach. We received excellent customer service, especially from Hamiee, who was fantastic! Our room was just right—clean, comfortable, and perfect for our needs. Highly recommend!

We stayed at the Pier South Resort for three nights in a spacious room with a truly beautiful ocean view. The room offered plenty of space, although the furnishings and overall design felt rather plain and lacked warmth and attention to detail.

The biggest drawback was the use of frosted glass facing the exterior corridor. At night, the corridor lighting shone continuously through the glass and into the room, making it extremely bright. Unfortunately, this also affected the bedroom, as its window faced the corridor and was fitted with frosted glass as well. There was no effective way to darken the bedroom, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably.

The spectacular ocean view was certainly a highlight, but the lack of proper blackout options significantly affected the quality of our stay.

First of all, it was a great location, good food, room was spacious but mostly the staff, housekeeping, frontedesk and the server at the restaurant they were all great!!! I will definitely come back in this place and already rold my family and friends to stay here if they come to san diego. Keep up the good work❤️❤️❤️

Just great to roll out if bed grab a cup of coffee and stroll to beach

This place is beautiful, relaxing the room we stayed in was perfect. They thought of everything.! Aaliyah from the front desk was very special very accommodating very welcoming. Atmosphere, there was very pleasant the ocean view everything they really thought of everything. I did not want to go home.
I recommend this place over and over again all the accommodations everything made everything worth it. The beach package is absolutely amazing Thank you.

FOOD CHOICES UNUSUAL AND INVITING,

Everyone has been so nice I could not say enough nice things about the hospitality here.

Kassandra and the team were very hospitable. We received a bottle of wine and a nice note for anniversary. Ocean views and the roof top happy hour was a nice surprise. We will definitely be back!

Always a lovely and restful stay. Beautiful location, beautiful spacious rooms and a wonderful spa.
Also - go for the paint and sip evenings led by Emilie and assisted by Jose! Wonderful and fun evening on the roof at sunset.

Hotel experience, front desk staff, Emeli, valet, and restaurant staff were amazing and extremely attentive. Drinks and the pizza at Sammy’s were on point and we enjoyed happy hour and oceanfront view.

The oceanfront view room was beautiful and clean inside and out. The only thing I will note was the floors in the living room area were lifting and the door to the outdoor patio did not latch unless you slammed it shut, making the room and windows shake which we could even hear the neighbors door slam loudly and shake our room.

Overall, the experience really was great with just a few minor things that can be attended to-to keep up with the higher standard of the facility being a resort.

I stayed at this resort to celebrate my 43rd birthday, and it was exactly the relaxing getaway I needed. As a mom of three, relaxation was my top priority, and this place delivered!

The ocean views were absolutely breathtaking, and the hot tub was the perfect place to unwind. There were also plenty of delicious food options nearby, which made the stay even better.

Without a doubt, my favorite part of the trip was the rooftop Paint & Sip. Whoever came up with that idea is an absolute genius! Painting while listening to great music as the sun set over the ocean was such an incredible experience. The weather was perfect, and the entire evening was a total vibe. Our instructor, Emeli, was amazing, she made everyone feel like a true artist, no matter their skill level.

We did experience a small hiccup when we first arrived due to a system glitch that wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but Aaliyah and the manager, Hammie, went above and beyond to take care of us and make everything right. Their kindness and excellent customer service truly stood out.

From the friendly staff and great accommodations to the beautiful views and unforgettable experiences, this resort made my birthday so special. I can’t wait to come back for another stay. I’d absolutely give this place a 10/10. Thank you for helping make my birthday one to remember!

We enjoyed our stay with our family at Pier South Resort, very friendly and accommodating staff throughout the Resort.
Located on the beach in a sleepy beach town of Imperial Beach, where there are nice surrounding of restaurants high and low end. There is a beautiful long Pier nearby.
Great for a weekend getaway.
Shout out to Mr. Hammie and his staff for going the extra mile to make our stay more memorable.
FYI, the resort has a nice ocean front restaurant and a roof top bar as well.

The hotel was great! Would recommend staying with family - nice change from the businesses of San Diego. Oziel and Noah were very helpful valets.

This hotel is incredible. I researched many areas to stay in San Diego for NASCAR weekend and I’m so happy we picked this resort. The rooms are huge and well appointed with spectacular views of the Pacific. The restaurant was very yummy with happy hour times available too. We were there for a few nights and also explored the local restaurants within walking distance which were also very good. What an awesome little beach town feel in Imperial Beach. Be mindful that the water quality varies here due to proximity to Mexico if you are actually looking to swim in the ocean (please don’t blame the hotel for this lol). Don’t hesitate, stay here.. it’s so awesome :)
