Pros:

The staff was very kind and helpful at check in. Our room wasn't ready yet, but they took our luggage while we explored. The room was ready 2 hours early, which was fantastic. At check out, the staff helped us book a taxi that arrived immediately. We had clean towels both days, and fresh linens. The location was great in terms of getting to and from the best parts of Edinburgh.

Cons:

The hotel is right above a bar. Very noisy both nights. Had I known, I would have never picked this hotel. They provide ear plugs, but it did not help. Unfortunately, this completely killed it for me. Being awakened by loud music and drunk people singing until 3 in the morning was not what I had planned.

Pros:

Estaba muy limpio y olía muy bien, la cama era muy cómoda. Había un armario amplio, una TV muy grande, un espejo extra para mirarte de pies a cabeza. Un hervidor y algunas bolsas de té y café de cortesía. Secador. Calentador de toallas. Un baño muy amplio y unas toallas grandes. Los geles de baño olían sensacional. Nos guardan las maletas antes del check in y después del check out si es necesario para poder aprovechar el día completo.
Nosotros no lo usamos, pero había zonas comunes con libros, juegos y un billar. Está situado en zona de discotecas, o pubs. Pero nosotros no tuvimos ningún problema ni ruidos en nuestra habitación.

Lovely accommodation but too much noise from clubs next door.
Pros:

Staff very friendly. Room was very large, clean and comfortable.

Cons:

The noise from the next door club until 2pm. Were not warned. Ear plugs were left in the room but realised later when in bed why they had been left. Unable to block out bass noise and karaoke even with ear plugs.

Seemed pricey and not geared to mature travelers, IMO.
Pros:

Walking distance to Edinburgh attractions and sites. Friendly staff.

Cons:

Very small room. Geared more for young people and night life than mature travelers--can get loud with bar right next door. We were warned.

struttura molto carina e personale davvero gentile e disponibile. La camera e il bagno davvero grandi e confortevoli. Onestamente se dovessi tornare ad edimburgo la sceglierei di nuovo

Cons:

A livello di pulizia non era il massimo, in 4 giorni non hanno mai cambiano le lenzuola.

Great location but watch out for bed bugs!
Pros:

The location is central that all the major attractions are within comfortable walking distance.

Cons:

I got more than 10 very nasty bug bites after the first night, big, swollen, and very itchy that lasted for a few days. The stuffs were helpful and changed all the beddings. The second night was fine.

Sehr freundliche, hilfsbereite MitarbeiterInnen, einfaches verstauen von Gepäck bei früherem Eintreffen, gemütliche Betten, sehr zentral und gut gelegen, bereitgelegtes Oropax :)

Cons:

Es war über die Nacht etwas lauter, aufgrund der Umgebung, was aber ganz klar im Vorhinein kommuniziert wird und aufgrund der Lage auch absolut logisch ist. Das Bereitgelegte Oropax war dafür super und an sich war es auch absolut aushaltbar , sollte einem nur bewusst sein.

Reasonable but not what I was expecting from photographs. Reception staff were so helpful!
Pros:

Location was good. Staff were brilliant and rooms very clean. Quiet despite a beer garden next door

Cons:

Rooms were ‘claustrophobic ‘ . At the end of low ceiling hallway, the room also had low ceilings which can be confronting if you suffer from claustrophobia.

Nur die Lage hat uns überzeugt

Das Stay Central Hotel liegt mitten in der Innenstadt Edinburghs. Alles ist fußläufig erreichbar. Das Zimmer war sehr groß. Für zwei Personen gab es es ein riesiges Zimmer mit zwei Doppelbetten. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Das Frühstück haben wir nicht in Anspruch genommen.

Cons:

Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Eine Renovierung wäre in vielen Bereichen angesagt.
Die Aussicht aus dem Fenster ging hinaus auf eine Hinterhoftreppe und eine riesige Mauer. Tageslicht Fehlanzeige. Nebenan befindet sich ein Musikclub. Hier läuft ohrenbetäubende Musik bis spät in die Nacht. Da helfen leider auch die bereitgelegten Ohrenstöpsel nichts mehr. An Schlaf ist nicht zu denken gewesen. Das Bad ist zwar großzügig. Die Fugen schreien allerdings nach dringender Renovierung.
