No bar open friday night!
Pros:

all good really, Just upset on the friday night there was no bar open. We had to go to petrol station to buy wine instead and had it in our room. Reception very friendly.
Also no signs on the main road to say where the hotel was.
Its set back from main road but address says edge lane.
Its behind shell garage if we knew that it would have been big help.

Good venue accommodation
Pros:

Great outdoors area. Took the time to go out and get the cider I drank. Rooms were basic but ok. Bed sagged in the middle. But as wedding accommodation it did tge job. Free parking too.

COVID stay
Pros:

COVID restrictions meant that the opportunities for assessing service were limited but the staff I encountered were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was basic and stripped back due to COVID but clean, warm and comfortable.

Pros:

The hotel is in a good location for downtown Liverpool to take public transit, also easy to get back on the highway out of town. Our room was very clean and comfortable.

Pros:

The location is a fair way from the city centre. The hotel was very quiet during our stay and meant we didn't get disturbed at night.

You get what you pay for
Pros:

I have stayed at this hotel once before and on both occasions was just a stop over as travelled from down South so was just somewhere to put my head down for the night. The beds are comfortable. The hotel is quite outdated, and the surrounding area isn’t the most appealing, but the hotel grounds are clean, and the room served its purpose. I would only book this hotel again if I just need a bed for the night again. Its not too far form the town centre, would need a car/taxi ride. For under £50 a night for a room you can’t expect 5 star, you get what you pay for.

Pros:

The heating was on full blast in the room, with no way to turn it off. On the hottest weekend of the year. It was late, so we just made the best of it. mentioned it to the receptonist in the morning and she said we should have called - but reading other reviews when we got home, this seems to be typical...

Not happy
Pros:

Not good at all. Bed uncomfortable, staff not present, restaurant was horrible. Only people there for dinner, chefs showed up late and food arrived 50 minutes after we ordered. Liverpool was great, just not the hotel
