The bed was comfortable and the room was nice and large. Very scenic. I wish I would have had more time to explore the restaurant and other facilities.
The car park was expensive and very little spaces left to park my car. I ended up in a small space and my car stuck out quite a way.

It was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was walking distance to the main attractions, and the staff was very friendly.
It does not have an elevator, so it’s difficult to carry the luggage up the stairs. The bathroom does not have a lot of shelving area to put your toiletries.
This is one of the best hotels we've stayed in. We were upgraded to a suite and it was stunning. Lovely, comfortable bed, beautiful linen. Bathroom was great. Reception staff were very helpful.

The room was satisfactory and the walk-in shower appreciated. Breakfast was fresh but the bacon a little too salty so maybe streaky bacon would be a better option.
The location was a little misleading as we thought it was in the city centre. This made walking a challenge for one adult in the party due to mobility issues.
Good base for exploring york!
In a really convenient part of York, away from city centre but within easy walking distance. The main building is beautiful from the outside with a shared garden to enjoy.
Our ‘cosy double’ room was basic and in the ‘other’ part of the hotel. On the surface, it was clean but a closer look showed otherwise. A sewage odour greeted us. A previous guest’s tea bags were left on the tea tray. The extractor fan in the bathroom needed a clean. There was mould in the shower tray and a hand print in the wall.
Staff were informative on check-in. When checking out, we interrupted the writing of an email and had to wait our turn.
Fantastic location and gorgeous gardens. Very helpful and polite staff.
Not knowing if a parking space would be available. Luckily, we did get one.
Excellent location
