Hotel and location excellent; tapas meal delicious; check-in slightly convoluted especially as most of the information had been already available.
system of check-in long and unwieldy - definitely could be simpler and quicker.
It is a lovely hotel with really nice friendly staff ideal for making the most of York we had a lovely few days would certainly go there again
Liked the hotel
Rooms very small and bathroom very small
Evening meal lounge bar/reception, all staff and the maintainence gentlemen
A lovely historic property nicely restored and maintained. The staff were brilliant on reception and the location was perfect.
The room although small was modern and reasonably well kept.
We paid a lot of money for small room. The shower room in particular was very small with little room to move out of the jets when using the rain fall shower.
The tea tray was dirty with used items left in the pots.
The carpet and bed throw had stains on.
The staff and feel
Delightful friendly little period house boutique hotel which is beautifully decorated and full of interesting artefacts and wall displays. Lovely breakfast and tasty dinner in the restaurant. Staff all very welcoming and helpful. Great location for a stay in York.
A lift up the stairs might be helpful for older clients.
It was an unusual building and beautifully presented
Being allocated an accessible bedroom, when we have no accessible needs. The bathroom had a wet room which meant the water was all over the floor. This facility is great for those who require it but an enclosed shower would have been more practical for us. Maybe alerting us to this at check in and an alternative provided if preferred.
Perfect location, staff were very pleasant and friendly, room was clean and bed very comfy

We enjoyed the quality of the room and such a lovely bathroom.
We would definitely come back again and the service was lovely too all with a smile.
Thankyou.
Nothing, everything was superb.
The hotel was very clean and central to everything
The room was very small and as we were there for three nights it was cramped for two people
