Clean and ok place to stay while passing through. Basic and clean.
Expensive for what you get, no shampoo in the room, we did ask but they didn’t have any.
Riding the GDMBR in the USA we as guests come with 2 loaded bicycles that need to go in a room. The hotel was well placed for the bike shop, eatery’s and the continuation of our route. This Motel 6 was 100% better than the last Motel 6, so well done to the staff, who were proactive. The location is also in the old Uptown of Butte with interesting architecture and history with the mining. 2 very good eatery’s with O’Donnell’s Irish Pub and Metal (with the old bank vault still in the dining room).
Nothing to dislike
The parking lot needs to be resurfaced...potholes.
The room was too dark and dreary.
Security at location
No elevator
Nothing
The floor's turned our socks black. There was black mold everywhere. And the homeless were always bumming us for cigarettes every time they came out of their Minecraft room. And then the manager told me that he was going to have to ask me to leave if he saw me walking around with my firearm that was concealed. And then accused my veteran husband who suffers from Parkinson's disease as being drunk. We paid $1,200 for 2 weeks and I mopped the floor four times and it was still black and black mold everywhere The air conditioner didn't work The place is a shithole.
The woman that checked us in was good.
The riff-raff hanging around outside. We didn't feel safe. Many seemed to be homeless and living there longterm. Fireworks (we stayed July 3rd) went on in the parking lot until very late. It was not a good experience for Travellers.
Outside
Needed a quick place to stay so couldn’t be picky. Simple, dog friendly.
Older motel and could hear entire conversation from neighbors in bathroom. Also the homeless man outside was concerning.
The price, convenience, cleanliness, ease of getting there
The lighting in the room, the hand towels they called bath towels. Overall it's a solid place to stay.
They canceled my reservation said they sold the room to someone else. as I was pulling into parking lot.
