ibis Bradford Shipley

We have stayed here many times and I recently wrote a review comparing the old Ibis to the refurbished Travelodge but Tripadvisor deleted it along with all the old reviews. Thanks a lot Tripadvisor! So here are my latest thoughts on this recently acquired Travelodge.
It is much improved after a much needed refurbishment. Everywhere is much fresher and brighter and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Having said that, they are stripped right back to basics, having very little furniture and absolutely no storage space beyond a few hangers. Tea and coffee is still supplied but there are no glasses, not even a couple of plastic beakers in the bathroom. We had two bath towels but only one hand towel and no bathmat. Staff are friendly and helpful though and were happy to provide extras when asked. Servicing of the rooms doesn't appear to be done unless you specifically ask. For the price though it offers good value and we will continue to stay here when visiting family in the area. Disappointed though that parking is now charged for and cost over £10 for 3 nights.

I recently stayed at travel-lodge in Shipley (Bradford) and had a great experience, especially thanks to the front desk staff (Cameron and Rose ) Both team members were incredibly welcoming, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. From the moment I arrived, they made the check-in process smooth and stress-free, taking the time to answer all my questions with patience and a friendly attitude.

What stood out the most was their willingness to go above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Whether it was providing recommendations, assisting with requests, or simply greeting guests with a smile, their customer service was outstanding.

They truly made my stay more enjoyable, and I now use this as my local hotel because of the excellent service they provided. A big thank you to Rose and Cameron of them for their hard work and kindness!

Just checked in today as a family of 4 due to being in the area for work, Tanya on reception was a breath of fresh air! We are looking forward to our stay here. We never do reviews before the full stay but her whole manorisms warrants it!

Absolutely wonderful staff, so very helpful. Wonderful location. Leah and Baiba on shift, and so very helpful.

It’s always the best hotel experience with one bird man and another, namely Ali, although cam I’m sure will have a pigeon on his shoulder the next time I see him

Cam and Ali on check in were very helpful, pleasant and a really good first impression of the hotel.

The hotel has had quite an upgrade recently after changing ownership. Room was clean and comfortable.
Quiet location by the Leeds to Liverpool canal, plenty of parking and 5 minutes walk to Shipley railway station.
Staff always friendly.

I recently stayed at Travelodge Shipley and had a great experience. All the staff were friendly and helpful, but Ali and Cam from the night team were especially outstanding. They assisted me a lot during my stay and recommended excellent local places to eat. Their kindness and professionalism made my visit very comfortable. I would happily stay here again.

A huge part of why we keep coming back is the incredible night shift team, specifically Ali and Kam. I recently stayed at Travelodge Shipley for one night and had a really pleasant experience. The room was lovely, clean, and very comfortable & perfect for a relaxing stay.
I checked in after midnight, and despite the late hour, the service was excellent. Ali and Cam were incredibly helpful, assisting me with my luggage and guiding me to my room. They were friendly, welcoming, and made the whole check-in process smooth and stress-free.
Overall, great customer service and a comfortable stay. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a warning to those who travel to this Travelodge that there are now parking charges not made that visible. They may follow protocol by adding it way down on the booking confirmation. I was sadly in Yorkshire for a family funeral so not a good time. My sister picked me up from the station and we went to the hotel and checked in. We were there 25 minutes dropping bags off and a week later she got a parking ticket for £51.
There is no sign on the hotel doors or reception. It’s a cop out so this is a WARNING to future travellers. It’s money money and no customer service!

Check in was smooth, Met Ali and Cam at the front desk they guided me to the floor and room i was staying in. My key card did not work so i rang them and Ali came to help me and cut me a new key. The room was tidy and neat. I needed a drink so i hopped down to the bar where Cam served me a soft drink. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Booked for 1 night with our dog. arrived at 9.30pm to be told we had been transferred to another hotel! Reception staff were unhelpful they said we should have been contacted by head office.
Will never book again with Travelodge

Surprised to come to Travrlodge, it was a different hotel. Vut it is a gteay cgange, getting us service that is guarantied by a well recognised brand. Cleanliness is always there and an excellent customer service. On arrival welcommed by a lovely smile and professional greetings, top service from the start to finish.
