Our AA flight was canceled so they put us up at the residence inn near DFW.
It was late in the evening and quite a few travelers were checking in. Being tired some folks were a little cranky. But the young lady checked people in without getting snippy herself, very professional, great job.
The room was well appointed and spacious. The free breakfast was the typical n experience you get at this level of hotel, nothing special, but it takes care of the need.
The shuttle driver was courteous and efficient. Overall a good experience.

After my flight home was unexpectedly canceled, I found myself needing a last-minute place to stay for two extra days in Texas. I had originally been staying at the luxurious Adolphus Hotel downtown for a convention, so admittedly, I wasn’t expecting much when I booked the Residence Inn by Marriott Dallas DFW Airport North/Irving at a fraction of the price. I could not have been more pleasantly surprised.
The room was large, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. While the decor was a little dated, everything was extremely well maintained. Having a full kitchen with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and even a dishwasher ended up being a huge bonus since I suddenly had to figure out meals on my own for a couple of days.
The bed was comfortable, the property was quiet, and the staff truly made the experience stand out. Every employee I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. What started as me “hunkering down” after a travel disaster unexpectedly turned into a relaxing little Texas staycation.
For the price, this hotel absolutely exceeded my expectations in every way. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone needing a comfortable, affordable, and stress-free stay near DFW Airport.

shuttle shutdown when we get snow storm. my colleagues where in a hotel 5 miles from me and shuttle didn't shutdown. the main reason i booked this hotel was for the shuttle ride as i work in DFW airport and want a ride. ended up i drove my car to work so staying in the hotel was for nothing
