Die Lage war super und das Gebäude echt schön. Das Zimmer war auch sehr stimmig eingerichtet und sauber

Cons:

Aufgrund einer großen Baustelle vor dem Hotel, konnte ich an allen Nächten nicht schlafen. Der Lärm selbst tief in der Nacht durch die Baustelle war unerträglich. Zudem fand ich den Preis pro Nacht für mein Zimmer nicht gerechtfertigt

We loved the updated and comfortable rooms. Easily one of the best hotel rooms in Edinburgh. The breakfast was amazing, and the staff was great. We will definitely be stating here again should we return. Also, the location is perfect. It is walking distance to all the best attractions and the train and bus stations.

Cons:

The elevator situation. There was one very small elevator. We were on a high floor so stairs were not the best option, and there were long wait times for an elevator at peak hours. That was the only issue we had.

Great staff , wrong room choice , uncomfortable beds

The room was way down below floor 2 , was offered a free upgrade to floor 6 should have taken it , also there was a wedding Saturday night and was very noisy really need to check before we book again

Awful, if you give gluten to someone with coeliac disease then the results are awful

The food, I was told there were gluten free options, after I was ill, I was told that the gluten free bread was toasted in the same toaster as the ordinary bread. I was then told this was resolved and was ill again.

Great hotel but request a room away from the front of the building

Great hotel/staff nice clean room fantastic breakfast.

Cons:

Although the early morning works were not the fault of The Scotsman Hotel, we were extremely disappointed to learn from a member of staff that there have been ongoing issues with noise affecting rooms facing this area.

Unfortunately, this information was of little comfort the following morning when we were woken at 4:55am. We had booked this stay specifically for a relaxing night away, and being disturbed so early completely undermined that experience.
