Location was near hiking which was good.
Rooms were not ready at 2pm check-in time / AC in second room did not work / We requested our party be on the same floor which did not happen / hot tub not functioning / Pool had algae growth all over and was unsanitary to swim in for sure.
Grassy area for dogs
No air conditioning. Pool had mold and algae and could not see the bottom it was so dirty. Door did not stop opening automatically so had to switch rooms, but then the air didn’t work. When switching, left my bag in the room and was unable to have access to it to retrieve it prior to having to leave crammed 8 people into one room because it was too hard to sleep in the 100 degree room.
Breakfast was good.
Hot tub was not working.
Staff were very nice and helpful! Gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and visiting Starved Rock State Park. Breakfast was also very yummy!
Rated cleanliness a little lower. There were quite a few ants in the indoor pool area and breakfast area. But the ants have been really bad this year due to all the extra rain

Fire alarm middle of the night. Same thing happened in Petosky a week before. There
Was a.new alarm issue. So this time we.called front desk and person said yes they guessed u should evacuate building.

Morning, no creamer, no reg coffee no eggs
No milk for cereal etc. They were getting it together. ? Newer staff?
Location, updated nature, some staff was friendly. I liked the microwave and the adjoining rooms.
Lots and lots of bugs in the rooms. Spiders, ants, so many ants. The electronic door sensors were horrible and caused us a lot of problems, the conjoined door had a busted screw that we had to figure out how to fix so we could use the door. We’ll send a bill for the labor worked to repair the door lol
Our stay was quite pleasant! We had a room with green view ,reception staff were so friendly, breakfast was good ,constantly refilled and I loved the always available tea and coffee at hotel entrance! Staff were so kind and accommodating and kept providing bottled water as well any time we asked. The furniture set up for breakfast is quiet charmy and provides additional privacy for many quests ! We will definitely come back! We also saw rare birds while dining downstairs through the window! Very well kept ,clean ,quiet place ( while being busy ) with friendly staff!

Easy to find. Breakfast was very good. Bed was very comfortable and room was quiet.
Water pressure seemed low in bathroom sink. Could have used a light by the long mirror.
The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was one of the very best we have had! The rooms were very clean.
The hot tub wasn’t working well- not very hot.
