Convenient.
Pros:

Close to sightseeing places, very clean updated rooms, Wi-Fi, amenities (microwave, coffee machine, ice machine, friendly reception, quiet rooms, parking for one car, great breakfast! Accommodating and comfortable beds.

Cons:

Entrance was not convenient, we missed it first time. Property appearance needs more TLC, nicer landscaping around pool, jacuzzi was very dirty and smelled and not warm. Our first entrance was seeing a pile of sheets and pillows on the floor and against the wall and corridors were not very clean. First impressions are important.

Good overnight stop within walking distance of old town and with decent pool.
Pros:

Quite good location to walk into town ( 12 minutes via good crosswalks over very busy road) . Decent swimming pool with 8foot deep end, 3foot shallow end, and a small hot tub. Decent coffee machine in room and free ice available and good fridge in room. Very comfortable bed.

Cons:

Rooms are clean and adequate but a bit dated.

Great place to stay?
Pros:

They provided room service daily, trash pick up, towels as needed, etc. But every evening we returned, there was a light on so we could see. Super nice. Hats off to Marisila! She gets a 10 for sure! Bfast was great everyday. Super place to stay!

Pleasant and did the job
Pros:

15 minutes walk to the center of San Juan Capistrano. Reasonably good breakfast and very pleasant and helpful staff at reception.

I would stay at the Best Western again! Staff was very good and location is great!
Pros:

The staff was very accomodating in changing our room from a noisy room on the exit ramp of the highway to a quiet room in the back! The room and bed were very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Location is central to everything in San Juan Capistrano. The grounds are lovely.

Cons:

The hotel is located right off the exit ramp of a major highway which made getting in and out of the parking lot challenging at times. Also the rooms facing the highway were very noisy so we asked to change and they did very nicely.
