I liked it better before the redo and I liked the staff better, plus they gave a discount cause I go up there for my doctor's. You guys paint the place and put up some pictures and double the price. Im very disappointed.
Everything
The location was perfect as I had to be at the Heart Institute early and we live 2 hours away. Being older, we didn't want to hit rush hour traffic in Kansas City. The staff bent over backwards to help correct a booking mistake by Booking.com.
Everything was great!
Location was great! Friendly staff and easy check in. Street car stops right in front of hotel. Brand new and the rooms are great and so is the room rate! Highly recommend
Ubicación excelente, muy buenas conexiones mediante el street car y cercanía al Country Plaza
Terrible experience overall. Hotel not recommended.

Stayed here for the World Cup 2026. Perfect location in front of the streetcar and very close to Plaza. This is a basic renovated hotel and the room looks like new with comfy beds and all the amenities you need.
Staff was ok, they had a plumbing issue so whole place smelled like sewage. We bought our own air freshener it was so bad.Construction taking up most of the parking. No complementary breakfast as advertised. Also it's called Spark not Plaza Seville
The price for the value is not good. Hotel is under renovations and I get that, but at over $180 a night, that’s not acceptable. You pay extra for breakfast too. The breakfast consists of (literally) bread and water. I was told by the front desk that is a Spark by Wyndham quality breakfast. There was no 24/7 fitness center, no phone in the room, no coffee maker or hairdryer in the room. There’s 1 ice maker in the hotel and it didn’t even work. The room was clean and large, but felt like it wasn’t finished.
While the hotel is still transitioning and under construction, the rooms are 90% switched over (need Hilton linens, irons and ironing boards, hangers) the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Air conditioning was top notch! Staff was friendly and helpful. Well worth saving some $$!
Our room was not clean. The hair dryer was left out like someone had just used it, and there was a dirty water bottle in our bathroom on the counter. There were no trashcans in our room, there was no coffee pot and we were not told the place was under construction until it was too late the change our plans. The lobby smelled badly of sewage and there was drag racing going on in front of the hotel for hours. Over all it was an incredibly unpleasant stay. We will not be returning.
The new renovated room.
Didn’t disclose construction until too late to cancel and book some where else… hotel name change unaware of it. What little was offered for breakfast was picked over by construction crew. And, the one thing that should be available, coffee in the AM, was empty and had to deliver the empty pot to front desk. Was told it would be 10 minutes before any available. Having 2 pots and rotating would be too customer service oriented apparently. Or someone proactively checking…
I did not stay there. They texted me that renovations were noisy so I cancelled. I am awaiting a refund. The hotel said it would come from booking.com. Booking dot com has not issued it and says I have to talk to the hotel.
They still have my money even though I did not stay there
Location good.
I would not have booked if they had been upfront about the property being renovated. My room looked fine but there was no hand soap, no trash can, no coffee in the room as advertised, and the supposedly newly renovated room had a bathroom faucet that was loose.
Rooms were decent
The person checking me stole my card information and ran it for a second room on a different date.
Very little.
The hotel was under renovation, and didn't inform me of that fact prior to booking. The only informing of the renovation came about 20 minutes after I booked and prepaid, and the booking listing stated no refunds for cancelations.
The lobby floor was covered in cardboard to walk on, with much of it curtained off, with dust (I'm assuming from drywall) all over.
The floor I was on was half curtained off for construction. Carpet had construction dust and small pieces on it.
The room in general had been recently remodeled, and looked good. Also very large. However, the bathroom sink faucet was not attached properly, and the entire thing swiveled. Very poor workmanship and attention to detail.
Additionally, the room window looked directly out upon a very dilapidated house, which I would think could double as a crack house or meth lab. And the entire hotel is next to a QuickTrip convenience store, and cars were continually revving their engines very loudly.
This was my worst US hotel experience in over 25 years. When one selects a Wyndham hotel property, one expects a higher level of quality. This was not the case here, and I have photos to prove it.
To sum up, if I could give negative stars, I would.
I didn't like the fact that I wasn't informed that the hotel was being remodeled. I should have been told that so that I could made the choice to stay there or not. The hotel was a total mess. Unfortunately for me once I got there to check in it was too late for me to find another hotel so I had to stay there. But it's highly unlikely that I ever will again.
