Pros:

Chambre avec fenêtre sur une cour intérieure, plutôt puit de lumière. Murs sans aucune isolation phonique. Très beau hall d'entrée, mais ça ne fait pas tout.😒

Overall it was a great stay.
Pros:

Location excellent to explore Gothic section. Staff friendly and very helpful. Included breakfast had a good variety of choices. The beds were very comfortable and the room very clean

Cons:

Our air conditioner was a little noisy for sleeping. It was not functioning properly.

If you need a quiet comfortable place to stay in the middle of Barcelona then we can truly recommend the HCC Montblanc h
Pros:

The location in Barcelona was excellent, just step out the door and round the corner and you are amongst all the cafes restaurants bars and a very large beautiful department store. Very close to the La Rambla. It was quiet at night and the staff were very friendly and willing to help. The buffet breakfast was excellent as well.

Close to perfection
Pros:

If TA would allow 6* ratings, this would be one. A stay of 9 nights and everything went smooth and beyond expectation. At a arrival a very warm welcome at reception desk (Zak makes you feel at home right away). The extra cost for reservation of an upgrade was worth every euro : nice terrace with lounge chair, table and 2 seats. Great breakfast buffet during the entire stay with good coffee and fresh juices. Outside terrace (with shade) and the pool are a nice treat as it got very hot in Barcelona end of may.
Clean room with comfortable bedding, soundproof window, nice bathroom with excellent shower. Sheets (good quality) changed every 2 days, towels daily renewed.
Via Laetana splits the Gothic Quarter and El Born so plenty of the attractions are withing walking distance. Very good restaurants nearby (Caelis, Lamoro rooftopbar, Luigi)
Officially a 3 star hotel, in reality deserving a much higher rating. Our 3rd time in Barcelona, by far the best hotel at the cheapest rate!

Pros:

Location was excellent. Zak was unbelievable. He really took care of all our extra requests from taxi arrangements to directions. He is a wonderful employee.

Cons:

Street noise was a little loud at night. Room needed more electrical outlets.

We had a great stay at HCC Montblanc!!!
Pros:

This is an excellent hotel in an excellent location. Two metro stations are close by...a two minute walk to one and eight to the other. We got a twin room and asked for a terrace which we paid an addition 16 euros per day. It was well worth it!!! We had a view of the city with La Sagrada Familia in the distance. Ask for the terrace during booking. The location is a five minute walk to the Palace of Catalan Music (a must see) and a 10 minute walk to the Barcelona Cathedral (another do not miss). The Kissing Wall is close by as well as Pont Bisbe. The hotel is very clean, room spacious for European standards, and the breakfast was outstanding with a wide selection of everything except a waffle maker (and who needs that). Cold meats and cheeses, yogurt, hot scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage were available...plenty of rolls and bread. We didn't use the hotel terrace with pool, but it was spacious and had it's own bar. I highly recommend this hotel.
