The carpet in our room was very stained and dirty.

I was able to relax for the night, a day before the exam. The Nacho’s at the bar were exceptional.

The gym was very good along with the bar and food. It's great having a Starbuks there and also use of meeting room.
The bedrooms are not to the standard of the other facilities. The room was very humid as there was no air conditioning.
Staff was lovely and room comfortable
Came back from an event at 3am, was not made aware that the main doors would be locked and there is very poor mobile phone reception so could not ring through. Eventually got to bed half an hour later
Rooms no longer cleaned daily, this is not good, no fridge in rooms no good for longer stays. Elevators both broken again! Otherwise a good stay
Was expecting a higher end finish to the hotel and the lack of air conditioning was a big factor during the recent spell of hot weather.
This hotel is NOT access friendly. I use a walking stick and stuggle to walk too far, there is a choice 9 step steps or an extremely long winding ramp.
Although we were told we had an accessible ground floor room, this didn't happen. Firstly the lift wasn't working (these things do happen) so we had to use the service lift which arrived at completely the wrong end of the corridor to our room. By the time we got to the room I was exhausted. i asked if there was aircon (we were in the middle of a heat wave) The receptionist informed me there was but it was broken, he said that it was only a 3* hotel and as such they didn't advertise it.
The room was ok but was hot and smelt musty. We phoned down (as instructed) so someone could come and get us in the service lift, no one answered. And so it went on. I won't bore you anymore but needless to say this is not an accessible hotel. I did send an email to complain about the above and the rest. I recieved an apology email, saying "are reviewing our internal communication protocols to ensure no guest is left without an answer" "We deeply regret that our pre-arrival communication did not properly highlight the slope and step layout for you" Thats all well and good but if I had of know I would never had booked! It would have been nice if they had offered towards the cost of rebooking elsewhere at last minute. Four days later I did get a refund on what I paid, but never again. It spoilt what was supposed to be a nice 65th birthday celebration.
I had originally booked evening meal and breakfast. We ended up checking out and booked into a very close premier hotel, which I have done a seperate review for but wow what a difference.
Nice Hotel in the perfect position for the Castle, Zoo and Black Country museum.
Very clean and tidy, extremely comfy bed. Only nag, no bottle water in room.
Good sized room and a good refreshing breakfast.
Not being told parking was an extra cost.
No water in room.
Lovely pool modern hotel 30 degrees outside no air conditioning felt like 38 degrees was like an oven in the rooms
Great pool, breakfast was good overall good facilities but need to do something about air conditioning really too hot in the rooms
Breakfast was nice and food on the night
To hot even with the fan needs air con and staff entering room on morning when we was still there
Nice hotel although lift wasn’t working and air conditioning wasn’t working in the room requested it be fixed but was given a fan when we requested one. Food good, drinks expensive, easy taxi ride into Dudley
Over all it was a good hotel shame the sauna was not working at the time of our visit the room was good and bed was comfortable
