Outdated Property Riding on a Bygone Reputation
Pros:

The location is convenient if you’re transiting through the airport, and the staff were genuinely excellent — friendly, hardworking, and professional. That’s where the positives end, unfortunately.

The property is severely run-down and clearly in need of serious renovation, yet continues to market itself as a 5-star hotel based on a rating that no longer reflects reality. The rooms are outdated and poorly maintained — the wooden interiors hint at what must have once been a beautifully designed space, but years of neglect mean the woodwork is almost certainly deteriorating beneath the surface.

The smell throughout the hotel was unpleasant, particularly in the rooms. Despite fresh bedding, a persistent, musty odour lingered — likely embedded deep in the aging furniture and fittings. The curtains were visibly dirty, and the carpets throughout the premises were well past their lifespan. You could see the staff working hard to clean and hoover them, and credit to them for trying — but no amount of effort can restore carpets that have accumulated years of wear and grime. I genuinely felt sorry for them.

The air conditioning was not working during our stay. For anyone visiting in summer, this is not a minor inconvenience — it is a serious comfort issue in this climate.

The WiFi was completely non-functional for the entire 5 days of our stay. The explanation given was that the server was down — for five consecutive days. For a hotel claiming 5-star status, this is simply not acceptable, and would be a particular problem for anyone travelling for work or on a remote working trip.

The dining experience also fell well short of what a property of this claimed category should offer.

A message to the ownership: You have brilliant, hardworking staff who are doing their absolute best in very difficult conditions. They deserve better. The talent and dedication is clearly there — but it is being wasted on a property that is crying out for proper investment, maintenance, and care. Renovate, maintain, and respect the people who show up every day and give their best for your hotel. They have earned it.

I would not return, regardless of the convenient airport location — I would rather arrange a taxi and stay somewhere that actually delivers on its promises. Future guests deserve an honest picture before they book.

Pros:

Old property , not maintained. Way to room stinks. All items in room are old and not maintained. Only one old lift and rooms are far far away from lift.
