Quiet location, the grounds were nice with a seating area in the grass. Arbor (restaurant in the hotel) looked really nice although we didn't go there.
Heads up about the fireworks every Friday night during the summer! Caught us by surprise.
Pillows were too squishy but we managed with a few on top of each other. Shower directly in the bedroom was a bit odd; if you're not close with your traveling partner already, you will be afterward!

Would have liked the evening meal menu to change we only stayed 3 nights so ok not too much of an issue but any longer and we would have struggled. The food tho was very good.

Creaky floors and poor sound insulation as noise in room above and along corridor disturbed sleep constantly until 1am. I would only use a 2nd floor hotel room here if I ever thought of using this hotel again

Stayed here twice before. Good location, clean rooms and friendly, helpful receptionist Nicola! Nice relaxing bar area although service slow and enticing restaurant if you wanted to eat at the hotel.
Attitude of some staff members. Miserable and not helpful unfortunately which reflects on the hotel. Maybe more training for those 'front facing roles' and even those members who just pass through communal areas as they are representing the hotel too.
