El hotel está viejo, no le dan mantenimiento, el aire acondicionado en mal estado, es un hotel viejo no lo recomiendo

The hotel/motel is an ecofriendly location with a garden area containing turtles and tree frogs. The combination of friendly helpful staff, good food and wildlife made for an overall great tropical experience.

Very helpful with transport⁰

We had a great stay at the Las Espuelas Hotel. The people were super helpful and friendly. Pool was nice and clean. Service was great, the facilities were clean but moderate. Breakfast was super and at night we could relax at the restaurant and bar. The only draw back was that there is nothing around the hotel and for every trip we needed a car.

I just wanted to say that other than the hotel being a little rundown (at least in the rooms). It was super convenient, close to amenities and the airport. It was perfect for an overnight stay before heading out of town. Also the staff were super helpful and graciously patient with our limited Spanish. But that seemed to be the norm everywhere in Costa Rica.

it was clean and quiet

Luis at the front desk is an excellent help. I can’t say enough about how helpful he was with everything. The place is rustic, very much reminds me of the American southwest. It’s a nice place to stay for a day.

Beds were like brand new. And they offered a breakfast. Coffee was excellent.

This is the 1st hotel in the trip so far it’s nice

Stay away from this place! Walls are disgusting, internet was reset but connection would come in and out. It was three of us and they only wanted to give us two towels. Not to mention breakfast was not a buffet and only provided one egg a little bit of rice and one sausage. For them to charge $117 per night for three of us is a loss of money.

I recently stayed at Las Espuelas Hotel for 4 nights with my two daughters, and overall, we had a wonderful experience! From the moment we checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The gentleman at the front desk (I didn’t catch his name) was incredibly kind and helpful, answering all of our questions throughout our stay.

The property itself is beautiful, and the rooms were spotless, though we did notice a little bit of mold and had issues with cold showers. It’s worth noting that the location isn’t super walkable to attractions, but that wasn’t a major issue for us.

One of the highlights of our stay was the on-site restaurant/bar. The food was fantastic, and our waiter, Carlos, was outstanding! He was so kind and patient, especially with my very picky daughter, making every dinner an enjoyable experience.

Thank you to the amazing staff for making our stay so memorable! We’d love to return in the future.

This is a great reasonable hotel. The a/c works great and breakfast is fantastic. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Hot water was minimal for showers.

Not so good. Room was clean but very dated and very abused.

It’s a very decent place. To spend the night is ok. The place needs to get renovated.
