While I was standing on the staircase directly outside the entrance of the hotel, my phone was stolen. The incident happened right in front of the hotel property.
What was particularly upsetting was that at the time of the incident there was no staff at the front entrance to assist, and when I later tried to seek help, I did not receive proper support or guidance from the hotel staff.
As a guest of the hotel, I expected a basic level of security and assistance, especially when an incident occurred directly outside the hotel entrance. This situation was very distressing for me.

Hotel room was really well proportioned. I opted for a sleeping room as I was only staying for one night, but the room was a really good size, including a large television, fridge and very good sized bathroom. This is the second time I've been, and the hotel is excellently located just around the corner from Russell Square tube station which makes getting there from St Pancras very easy indeed.
There was a fridge in the room, but it just had milk in it to make a coffee/tea - it would have been nice as a mini bar with cold drinks in. My main criticism however and the reason for the lower score was the toilets on the Lower Ground floor near the gymnasium and meeting rooms. They were disgusting - there was urine all over the floor and the toilets weren't flushed - not particularly pleasant for a 5* hotel.
The hotel is glorious, it exudes quintessential English character, and the location is excellent. The staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful.
We love this hotel and plan on many future visits. The only downside this time was that our room was exactly opposite the cleaning/maintenance rooms and thus had a lot of noise and disruption throughout the day.

I think that my stay at the Kimpton Fitzroy what’s my favorite hotel stay to date in all of our travels. It is beautiful & historic from the outside and then the inside is so unique and incredible. We got to see Lucky George the dragon (twin is at the bottom of the ocean on the Titanic), and the service was top notch. Shout out to Josepf and his team at concierge. They went above and beyond to help us navigate our first time in London, helped with bookings and print outs, and all of them came to know us well by the time we left our stay. All of the guys on his team were amazing. The room was spacious and really well done. Def an old but immaculately kept hotel, with a tow feel of a time that was more exciting and welcoming. We were sad to go!

My daughter was a guest at the Fitzroy over Valentine’s Day and I emailed the hotel to send her a treat. Lottie and Angela were instantly on top of it and made it so easy to surprise her. My daughter is loving her stay and obviously the customer service is amazing. Much appreciated!
I’m currently staying at Kimpton Fitzroy London, and I felt compelled to share the outstanding experience we’ve had with the concierge team.
Shortly after we checked into our room, we received an email from Joseph letting us know that the doorman had noticed the top handle of our suitcase was broken. They kindly offered to help arrange a repair.
Since we mentioned that we would be leaving in five days, Joseph immediately contacted the suitcase store to make sure everything could be handled within our limited timeframe. The very next morning, Mykola took the suitcase to the store so it could be fixed as quickly as possible. To our surprise and delight, it was repaired and returned to our room the very same day, in perfect condition.
This level of attentiveness, initiative, and efficiency truly exceeded our expectations. The team didn’t just respond to a request, they proactively identified an issue and resolved it seamlessly.
A heartfelt thank you to Joseph, Mykola, and the entire team for such exceptional service. Experiences like this are what will bring us back to Kimpton Fitzroy London on our next visit to London.
Beautiful building, great location
I visited the bar at Kimpton Fitzroy with my partner last week and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was beautiful and we had a selection of drinks prepared by Nick, who was extremely knowledgable, provided excellent recommendations, and prepared some of the best cocktails I’ve had with an honest passion for the craft. Would absolutely come again!
I went to the hotel bar with my partner for a couple of drinks and the bartender Nick was utterly exceptional. Every cocktail was delicious and he took us through the creative processes that go into making them phenomenally. His conversation was sparkling and his attitude was excellent. Cannot recommend enough.
