Pros:

Easy check in. Convenient and about $50 less than the hotels in south bend.

Cons:

Old, In need of repairs. Damages in room were “fixed” but poorly and noticeably.

I woud lreturn to this hotel because it fulfilled all of my needs.
Pros:

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Even though my room was next to the elevators, it was on the top floor and was very quiet. The refrigerator was large and the microwave clean and functional. the hotel was conveniently located to grocery stores (Walmart Superstore) and many fast-food restaurants (next to Pizza Hut and Subway was across the street). The temperature could be easily regulated by the in-room AC unit.

Cons:

The tub was difficult to get into because the sides were high; however, there were adequate grab bars to help facilitate entry and exit. I would have liked to have had a walk-in shower and hand-held shower wand. I think it was ridiculous that the weekend room rate was three times the weekday rate; and the prices overall were higher because of the holiday weekend (Columbus Day). Same room, same amenities but much higher price.

Cancelled on me last minute, had to drive an hour from our destination. No help from manager.
Cons:

I booked this room which was the only one I could find within 30 minutes from my destination without compromising quality of a room.

I got a call as we were on our way to the hotel from someone who said they had mechanical failure in our room and could not honor our booking because they were fully booked. They recommended I stay at their hotel near south bend. They did not offer to help me with the price because of the inconvenience or anything! I ended up booking at a different hotel near southbend. Anyway, I really was disappointed in their lack of care that they just potentially ruined my weekend. As I was talking to the manager at the new hotel she recommended that I call them back because it is industry standard to compensate in some way for the inconvenience. So I did call them back, also booking wasn't allowing me to book another location because it showed I was already booked somewhere else. When I called I asked about that and said I'd like to talk to a manager. The manager was supposed to call me back in 20 minutes, but I never got a call back.

I can't speak for the hotel room or rest of staff, as I wasn't able to get that far, but based on this alone I will never look at a quality in for booking again! They will be one of those ones that I skip right over.
