I TOOK THE TIME FROM MY FAMILY VACATION TO TOUR THE OPTION TO BUY. WE WERE NOT SHOWN ANY PPOPERTIES. AND IT IS EXTREAMLY DIFFICULT TO FIGGURE OUT WHERE MY INCENTIVE FOR TOUR IS AND HOW TO USE@
Location and facility , perfect
Cochcroakes are inside the building
Clean, large one bedroom unit with full kitchen, two bathroons, and large living/dining area and balcony. Well kept facility. Adequate parking. And air conditioning!
Nothing in booking this room indicated it is a time share property, and during the check-in process they advise you that you are already booked for a sales presentation. We did not attend. No shampoo or conditioner in the shower dispensers.
We stayed here for one week with a timeshare exchange. The place was built in the 1980s (at least it feels like that), so is a bit dated. It seems to have recently been bought by Wyndham and we were offered a timeshare tour of one of their other nearby resorts to pay for the cost of our aircon (or other options). We had a one bedroom unit and our bedroom was huge with a shower and a tub. Our kids stayed on the pull out couch and had their own bathroom. The pool area is adequate, but not up to the standard of other large resorts these days. It's relatively close to town (15 min drive), and there are some restaurants and groceries nearby (5 min drive). No beach access, but it is a 5 min drive down the hill to "Snorkeling Beach" and Magic Sands beach. You will need a car to stay here (parking free!) if you plan to spend time checking out sights or going into town it would be best to have a car. They offer snorkeling gear and other rentals. Overall, as expected and a nice family stay.
Great!
Friendly staff and large size units.Hawaiian show for guests and scenic ocean and sunset.
Nothing
It was very convenient and close to everything.
COCKROACH-INFESTED ROOM AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
We stayed in a ground-floor unit at Kona Coast Resort, and our experience was absolutely unacceptable.
On the evening of check-in, we immediately noticed cockroaches outside the entrance of our unit. We reported it to the front desk and requested a different unit, but the staff told us that switching rooms "wouldn't solve the problem" and were dismissive and unhelpful. Although pest control came to spray later that day, the situation only got worse.
That night, we found numerous cockroaches inside the unit, including in both the bedroom and the living room. We documented at least seven cockroaches with photos and videos, and there were likely even more. It was disgusting and impossible to feel comfortable or safe.
When we contacted the front desk again, we were told there were no available rooms and that the appropriate staff had already gone home, leaving us with no choice but to spend the night in a room infested with cockroaches. Throughout these interactions, the front desk staff were extremely rude, impatient, and showed little concern for the severity of the situation. After we booked another hotel because we could no longer tolerate the situation, they suddenly changed their story and claimed that another room was available. By then, we had completely lost trust in the staff and refused the offer.
The cleanliness of this resort is deeply concerning. A room with this many cockroaches is simply unacceptable. The staff handled the situation poorly, were unprofessional, and appeared dishonest about room availability. I would strongly discourage anyone from staying here.
Toilets are low so it's hard to get up and down with bad knees
Liked the fact I didn't have to clean or do laundry other than dishes.
The fact they signed me up with a $40 deposit to sell me a vacation rental/timeshare after a 16 hours of flying. Then didn't return the deposit when I canceled the very next morning less than 12 hours after booking it.
The people were nice, loved the pool bar the best!
The water pressure was low on the shower
Better food service.
Food at poolside.
Nice place that we have stayed at before. Very nice grounds, pools and activities. But incredibly rude patio restaurant bartender/server.
Loved the fact there was an option of 3 different locations for pools and hot tub even though we didn't use them we might in the future
We were not disappointed, the price was fair because I guess it was during a high rate season so just a bit high
