Great location, reasonable rates. Very nice daytime staff.
Pros:

Great location. Easy to find and pretty easy to park. If getting there late, easier to park in hotel parking across the street. Self parking is a bit less expensive than valet. Otherwise, early am easy to find street parking.

Cons:

There was nothing really wrong, just not a spectacular stay. Rooms were a bit small, but we chose a more economical room as we were just there for the night.

Not the best
Pros:

Nice location
Nice looking communal areas

Cons:

The bed was very dirty with hair on it. The staff did handle it and they changed sheets.. I didn’t feel that actually cared about the incident.
Staff was ok, not as expected from a 4 star hotel.
There was something weird with the charging system even that the room was prepaid throw booking

Our first time staying and although I’d stay there again in a pinch, we’ll stay somewhere else next time.
Pros:

The location is good. The staff is friendly. Temp control was great.

Cons:

The rooms and baths are tired and in desperate need of a refresh. The mattress is uncomfortable; and the walls are paper thin—so much so we could hear soft conversation from the room next door.

The hotel was great. We stayed in a hillside cottage which had a lovely view over the bay from the balcony. The staff were really helpful and I have already booked to go back

Wonderful hotel, fantastic location
Pros:

Stayed at Casa Madrona for a visit with family in Sausalito, and it was tremendous. Fantastic location, very large and comfortable room, and very reasonably priced. A *very* minor question about the bill was quickly resolved. Highly recommended!

One tip: The air conditioning / heat in our room had, I think, been programmed by a previous guest to raise & lower the temperature at various times. If that happens, it's probably easiest to call the Front Desk rather than try to resolve it yourself.

The hotel isn’t safe and professional
Pros:

More than a month after having my car broken into inside the hotel’s own parking area — where my Passport, MacBook, iPad and other belongings were stolen — Casa Madrona continues to deny any responsibility without offering a real explanation.

What makes this even more unacceptable is that a hotel employee explicitly told me the parking area was safe and monitored.

I tried to resolve this privately and cooperated in every step, but the lack of accountability and professionalism is astonishing for a hotel of this category.
