Casa Madrona Hotel and Spa

This hotel is a hidden gem in Sausalito! I booked two suites and stayed on the top two properties for two nights. It's so quiet, private, and has stunning views, not like the Bay Area at all. Very European style!! So romantic!!! I would recommend it to every couple!!

The customer service was great. The front desk had a fire log brought to the room so we could enjoy and nice evening in the room . Really enjoyed the bikes

Absolutely lovely stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The bed linens were crisp, white and so cozy. The room was fairly large and thoughtfully arranged, I really loved the tall ceilings. Housekeeping was diligent and ensured we always had fresh fluffy towels. They had the most luxurious bathrobes, I loved it so much I ordered one for home. It was so lovely having a room with a balcony that looked out onto the bay. It was absolutely lovely.

Our trip to Casa Madrona was excellent. The hotel is beautiful and the location is perfect for visiting Sausalito. The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Highly recommended and we’ll certainly go back!

The location is PERFECT!!! Absolutely loved it. The grounds and rooms are just lovely. We had a suite with amazing views of the marina and downtown San Fransico. We were so sad to leave. I will return and stay even longer. Worth every penny!

My partner and I stayed in one of the two premium suites at Casa Madrona Hotel & Spa, and unfortunately the experience did not match the price point or the expectations. The view from our suite was beautiful, but that was the only part of our stay that felt worthy of the “best room” category.

Service throughout the entire town was disappointing, and the hotel was no exception. Staff consistently seemed irritated by even simple requests and frequently hung up on us when we called the front desk. There is no microwave, no room service, and our suite required climbing roughly 70 steps each time we went up or down. Valet drivers operated recklessly, and retrieving our luggage required multiple calls before we finally asked for our keys and handled it ourselves. When they brought our car around, my partner was so concerned by the way they drove it that she photographed her rims.

Dining in town was equally frustrating. Servers rushed us, were not attentive, and didn’t offer dessert — we had to ask several times. We’re the type of people who enjoy long, relaxed meals with multiple courses, drinks, and dessert, but everything felt hurried and dismissive.

DoorDash drivers didn’t want to deliver to the hotel, and when they did, the food arrived cold. Overall, the amenities were lacking, the service was rude, and the entire experience made us feel like an inconvenience. For the price of one of the top suites, we expected at least decent hospitality. This is not a place we would return to, nor did it offer the relaxing experience we were hoping for.

Excellent service, offer of a free wine tasting, giant, clean rooms, amazing views, right in the heart of Sausalito. Not to mention, incredibly comfortable beds.
