Loved my stay at Macdonalds Burlington
Pros:

Great location at the junction between New Street and Corporation Street, right in the centre kf Birningham. Good size bedrooms, spotlessly maintained. Wonderful victorian architecture with sweeping staircases and marble columns. Spectacular restaurant with views over New Street. Convenient for Grand Central Station and trams Ozzie the Bull within walking distance.

Comfortable bed, good location but overpriced & don’t bother with the breakfast!
Pros:

Location was good & quiet.

Cons:

No air conditioning, for the price of the room wasn’t really acceptable.

Also £24 for breakfast is a rip-off for an average (at best) cooked breakfast, I wasn’t going to pay that so went somewhere else.

Again for the price of the room it should be included.

Lovely hotel, good location to station
Pros:

Location is perfect for trains and city centre. Beautiful old hotel. Comfy beds. Reasonably priced.
On the high street but not noisy overnight.

Cons:

On arrival reception staff was stand offish and hardly manged to speak to us. We were friendly but she was miserable and unhelpful. We have not visited the hotel before, very badly signposted and a confusing layout. The receptionist guidance may have helped.
Room was not well equipped.. one bottle of water for 2 people. 1 tissue each!!! Not a deal breaker but budget hotels provide more!

A clean bed and bathroom for a nights stay
Pros:

Location and price. Right next to Birmingham new street hence the choice for a late night train arrival.

Cons:

Not the hotels fault but construction work in surrounding area til at least 2am and very noisy.

Very dated but clean bed and bathroom. Good enough for a one night stay.

We were disappointed 😞
Pros:

The hotel was perfectly located just outside New Street Station and right in the middle of shops, bars, and restaurants. It was also just a few minutes away from where our event was being held.
The room was a good size, the beds were comfy, there was a big bathroom and it was all clean and up together.

Cons:

We didn't like the noise at night. It was incredible and kept us awake for hours! Our room faced the station, and even though we were on the 4th floor, the street noise, the shouting, the music, and horns were terrible. They really need to replace the windows. We triple checked the windows were closed, but it was like they were open. They even supplied ear plugs in the room, as others had previously complained, too.

Great location, great sized room, fabulous bathroom.
Pros:

The room was a great size and had everything we needed. The very large bathroom was excellent and the bed was very comfy. The fan provided for the hot weather was also a nice touch.
All of the staff we encountered were really helpful.

Cons:

The light fittings needed a little clean and some of the furniture, whilst still functional was a little shabby in some areas
