It was great, such a nice atmosphere. And Eren our server was such a nice young man, a great table manner and wonderful sense of humour. We would go there again just to talk to him!
Immaculate throughout! Great food, excellent service. Loved the room and the scent in the bathroom from the diffuser and bath and hand gels were to die for. Afternoon Tea with Danielle in the Atrium is a must and Dinner in The Mint restaurant was fabulous.
Slight mix up with payment on arrival meant we were charged twice and overpaid however this was rectified as soon as it was brought to the attention of the front desk by Nicole. She was amazing and made the rest of our stay wonderful complete with a late checkout and complimentary breakfast!
This hotel is excellently located next to Trinity College and the Book of Kells, close to the Castle and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. There is upscale shopping nearby and Temple Bar is across the street.
The rooms are lovely and my son and I had a very large room with 2 king size beds. The shower was huge and easily accommodated a shower chair for my son.
The atmosphere throughout the hotel is upscale a lovely especially the Atrium with its glass ceiling spilling in lovely sunlight. The hotel was very clean, no noise to speak of.
The service was impeccable from turn down to front desk. Stephen at the front entrance is known by all and even the bus drivers honk when they go by. He was smashing in his top hat.
The amenities were fine though I did bring my own bar of soap. Overall I can’t say enough good things about the hotel. Amin in the Mint Bar was awesome. The front desk were always helpful. I left my phone in the room when I checked out. When I called the front desk they already had it locked away so I can pick it up in 4 days when I’m back. Great Customer Service!
All excellent in every area, from a perfect location right by Temple Bar to the quality of the hotel to staff friendliness. Very hard to fault it. Great breakfast at only Eur20 pp and overnight valet parking Eur35.
Nothing
This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of staying at The College Green. It sincerely has become almost a second home. Whether it’s being met with a smile every morning by Isabella at the Morelands Restaurant or seeing John’s smiling face at The Mint Bar. Or being greeted every day by Stephen at the door. You can’t escape the hospitality. Everything about The College Green is wonderful and if you have the opportunity to stay I would take it.
Booked a night in the College Green Hotel recently for a birthday treat. From start to finish it was a great experience. The Hotel is beautiful our room was perfect, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The staff were all very professional and friendly. We had lunch and breakfast during our stay , and each time the food was delicious. I definitely would not hesitate to book again in the future.
Amazing hotel with a fabulous location. Close to shopping and tour bus pick up.. Staff is very friendly and always willing to help. Stephen is helpful with directions and suggestions. Amin in the Mint Bar is a talented bartender. Jay and entire staff are always welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
I had an amazing stay at The College Green Hotel recently - the staff were so friendly & helpful. Our room was fabulous- the bed was extremely comfortable & I loved the shower!
The attention to detail in every aspect was superb.
Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. I can’t wait to go back!
Had dinner and drinks at The Mint bar with a friend to celebrate a special occasion and the manager Jay went above and beyond to make our night so special. The food and service were impeccable! Will be recommending to others!
I went with my friend to enjoy afternoon tea for the first time, and Eren and Evelina made it a truly warm and memorable experience. The tea selection was lovely, and the food was delicious.
We went to experience the afternoon tea for the first time and Erin and Evelina were amazing! The food was excellent and at the end, Erin played some piano!
Our afternoon tea experience in the Atrium at The College Green Hotel Dublin was absolutely exceptional — a true five-star treat from start to finish.
The afternoon tea itself was outstanding. Every detail was thoughtfully presented, from the delicate finger sandwiches to the freshly baked scones served with rich clotted cream and preserves.
What truly elevated the experience, however, was the service. Eva and Sylvia were absolutely wonderful — warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. They made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived and ensured everything was perfect throughout. Their friendly manner and attention to detail added a personal touch that made the afternoon even more memorable.
If you’re looking for a refined and indulgent afternoon tea in Dublin, the Atrium at The College Green Hotel is second to none. We can’t wait to return! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I stayed for two nights and while there were a few positives, the overall experience was disappointing.
The room itself was comfortable, but the cleanliness was questionable. The lampshades and mirrors were noticeably dusty, not just a missed spot, but enough to suggest they hadn’t been wiped down in quite some time. It’s a small detail, but it’s the kind that makes you look twice at everything else.
The mint bar food was pleasant, though fairly mediocre for the price point. Breakfast, however, was where things unraveled. Service felt disorganized, and we waited over 10 minutes for a simple black coffee while several staff members stood nearby chatting. When you’re jet‑lagged, watching a coffee exist somewhere in theory is a unique kind of frustration.
The host each morning was very cold and blunt. Not overtly rude, just distinctly unwelcoming — which isn’t ideal when you’re running on no sleep and hoping for even a hint of warmth.
There also seemed to be no visible manager in the breakfast room. The atmosphere gave the impression that the staff were running things however they saw fit. Lucky them; less so for the guests.
I mentioned these points at checkout and was met with a nervous laugh. I’m still not entirely sure what part was funny.
Overall, I wouldn’t return or recommend staying.
