Hampton Inn Columbia

I did not get two queens as I paid for in my confirmation. How will I be compensated. My cousin had to crawl on the ground on the sidewalk and up the steps because there was no ramp at the door in the back of the hotel near the last available parking space.

The bed was great, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was hearty.

Clean, comfortable room. King size bed was the right firmness. Nice breakfast included. This is our preferred place when visiting our grandchildren

This was a great place for my dog to stay with me. There were several doggy poop bag supply stations outside the hotel. The hotel neighborhood had sidewalks on both sides of street to walk my dog. The $75 rate for my dog’s entire 5 day stay with me was very reasonable.

Great place to stay and very close to Merriweather.

I recently stayed for two nights at Hampton Inn, Columbia, Maryland, and unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I am honestly surprised at how this property is rated as a 3-star hotel.

The flush in the toilet was broken, yet the room was still allocated to me.
The iron provided in the room was completely non-functional.
The face wash sink was clogged, and water would not drain properly.
The bathtub had the same issue—water was not flowing at all.
Breakfast was supposed to be served from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM, but when I went at 7:10 AM, there was nothing available.
There was no provision for water in the rooms or even on the floors; only a single location in the entire hotel provided it.

I even have photos of these issues to support my experience.

For a brand like Hampton, I expected at least basic facilities to be in working condition, but unfortunately, this property failed on nearly every count. I would strongly advise others to reconsider before booking here, as it could turn into a very unpleasant stay.

The key machine was broken, so it was a bit of a struggle to get a key to our room (couldn't get 2), the credit card machine wasn't working so it was really hard to check in (but at least it got us out of paying for the unexpected parking fee that wasn't advertised on Expedia), and the kitchen was out of order, so their was no breakfast/coffee which was really disappointing. The staff were really nice, though.

Great, safe, clean, friendly stay!

Waited until i checked out to charge my card $500 for smoking in the room yet NOONE in my party of 7 smokes or vapes at all. Noone even chews tobacco. Called the hotel to tell them a mistake was made and the lady i spoke to told me there's nothing she can do. I asked for a manager and was told NO!!!

The room was clean when we got there, liked the breakfast and the tea and coffee in lobby. Cups and tea and coffee in lobby were not always refilled and housekeeping didnt come to our room 2 days in a row

My go-to hotel for staying in Columbia. Clean, quiet, well maintained, and centrally located. Breakfast is good and gym is well equipped. Note: the $6 parking fee was a surprise.
