Not in the best part of town. The concierge was sleep on the sofa with his shoes on the floor when we arrived at 1 AM. We did not get the room that we paid for online. The room was too small to turn around in no room for luggage and there were bugs in the sink. The hallway to the room had no lights whatsoever. There is no shuttle as advertised, and there are no balconies as promised when we booked. Fighting tooth and nail for a partial refund for the 1 night of 2 booked that we stayed. Checked out asap next morning.
I want to rate the employees with five stars. All the people working in the hotel were GREAT and helpful. They were very accommodating and responded to our needs.
But the facilities and rooms were not as good as you would expect from a 3-star hotel. I believe that the facilities are substandard for a 3-star hotel, but the employees are great. THUS 2 STARS FOR THE FACILITIES, ROOMS, AND 5 STARS FOR THE EMPLOYEES.
Location:
The location of the hotel is excellent. We were able to walk to most of the must-see places, such as the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, and Notre Dame.
Staff:
The staff were very friendly and nice.
Breakfast:
Breakfast was quite poor.
Cleanliness and Facilities:
The main issue the hotel faces is cleanliness and maintenance. Our room was dirty — there were spider webs on the ceiling, and the floor clearly hadn’t been cleaned. It seemed that housekeeping was not done on a daily basis, and we noticed they don’t even have a vacuum cleaner.
If I had known about these conditions, I wouldn’t have stayed there, even considering the perfect location.
Room:
We had booked a quadruple room, which according to the invoice was supposed to include one king-size bed and two single beds. However, when we arrived, we found one king-size bed (which was comfortable), one single bed, and a sofa. The sofa was very old and made noise every time we moved.
Additionally, we were expecting one room but were given two rooms — which could have been a nice surprise — except that they were located on two different floors. The hotel itself is very old, the stairs creak, and it was quite inconvenient to have two floors with only one bathroom located upstairs.
Amenities:
There were no slippers, no minibar, no kettle for making coffee or tea, and no bottled water provided.
City tax: This tax was calculated as if the hotel were a 3-star property. Considering all of the above, I would rate this hotel one star at most.
Plenty of dining options nearby and close to public transport
I love the bed, it was very comfortable, staffers were very frendly, the were beyond and above. The location of the hotel was good for transportation.
Old property but , but still good, the location is good close to Metro
First room they gave us the air-conditioning didn't work. I asked for another room and they said they were sold out. I hung out at the front desk and asked when it would be fixed . . .got no answer. He asked me how was New York (I'm from NYC) I told him New York was not happy. Then just like that we got a new room. Rooms are not cleaned regularly. If I had to say two good things about it, the location was great, and the shower worked well.
Location
The hotel is located in a really nice area- quiet, with many cafés around, and it’s easy to get both a taxi and enjoy walks from there.
The staff were welcoming. The only downside was that one of the beds in our room was broken, so the rooms could benefit from some updates.
Overall, we appreciated the atmosphere and the location very much.
I think I was moved to a different building with lower quality rooms.
Works for one night pit stop
The hotel was surrounded by cafes. Great choices for dining. The hotel room was clean but the furniture was rather old and worn. The carpet in the common area was very dirty. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We were sent to the second location when we checked in. That site was not acceptable. The room was clean but bathroom was not acceptable as the toilet seat was damaged and very stained. We were moved when we voiced our issues. The staff were helpful and courteous.
Would definitely recommend. In an excellent location. Had some weird situations that may only be weird for cultural reasons. AC didn’t really work.
Safe, friendly.
We are a family of 5 and had a wonder Stay at this great property in the older area of Paris. Staff is incredibly polite and helpful!
Bathroom was extremely small. Rooms were small and no where to put the luggage. Only one fan, very hot in the room.
Great location! Easy access to all the transportation. Lot’s of restaurant around, close to the touristic places. Descent place to stay in Paris.
front desk clerk was a nightmare, changed rooms then just left as it was horrible
Ok for a Paris hotel in a prime location.
