Novotel Shenzhen Watergate

The hotel looked a bit dated but it was quite centrally located. It was just a short walk away from the nearest station and Litchi park.

The room was generally very clean, smoke free and defect free. There were plenty of bottles of water in the room and two cans of complimentary soft drinks in the fridge.

Staff were courteous and helpful.

As I checked in pretty late, I slept in and didn't have breakfast in the hotel. Guests could have breakfast between 7-10 am for the price of RMB70-75 per person.

As I was travelling in Dec, the pool was closed but I did take a picture of the pool for your reference.

It was overall a pretty good stay.

The hotel wears its age honestly - the interiors are functional, a bit dated, but this candor is reflected in the price. Its true value lies in two things: location and people. While not all staff are fluent in English, their willingness to help is genuine. Any minor language barrier is easily overcome with a few words in Chinese or a translation app. Special thanks to Becky at the front desk - her English is excellent, and her assistance was both prompt and warm.

They arranged an early check-in for me without any issues, later confirmed a complimentary late checkout (which was crucial after a busy night), and helped me book a taxi.

In the end, Novotel Shenzhen Watergate fully lives up to its role as a practical base in the city center. It doesn't strive to amaze, but it offers an honest balance of price, location, and human touch. For a traveler focused on the city rather than the hotel, it's a reliable choice.

這裡應該算是商務中心，附近都是辦公大樓與銀行，要吃東西要走大約15分鐘的路程。

Very valuable hotel in that area, very mice restaurants around it and easy transportation,highly recommended

No conditioner, razor provide for guests
Even just 1gown in the wardrobe for 2 guests

Not bad at all but hotel.com was wrong on the navigation and I struggled to find it. Once there everything went smooth. Maybe noisy on main road, better to be on the back of the building

We were given room 1004 and it is haunted. Our room was blackout and in total darkness for 4 times as the room card flew off to the ground by itself breaking the circuit.
It was on the ground each after we placed it back, we immediately request for changing of room and no questions were asked by the front desk.

This was the very first time that I stayed in Novotel Shenzhen Watergate. The location was convenient with a metro station very nearby. The hotel staffs were polite and helpful. The room was spacious and the room rate was reasonable. It was simply good value for money.

I enjoyed my recent trip to Shenzhen and stayed at Novotel Watergate which is close to town and provided easy & convenient access to Dongmen and the tourist spots in town. Walking distance to the metro lines, we got around pretty easily using their efficient subways and did some walking to the nearby malls (KK100). The hotel provided a good range of amenities and a fairly good breakfast.
