The room itself was clean and tidy, and the sea view was nice. The hotel location is also good.
Unfortunately, this hotel did not feel like a real 5-star experience at all.
We informed the hotel in advance that we were coming to celebrate my wife’s birthday, but this was completely ignored. At check-in, the reception staff acted as if they knew nothing about it.
Nobody offered to help with luggage, which was very surprising for a 5-star hotel.
The biggest disappointment was that the sauna was charged separately. Yes, this may be written somewhere in the description, but for a 5-star hotel this is honestly shocking. We specifically chose this hotel partly because of the sauna, as the sea is still too cold in spring. This was one of the main reasons for our booking.
Breakfast was also very disappointing and felt closer to a 3-star hotel standard. Very limited choice, no live cooking, and no premium feeling at all.
The hotel also felt empty and lacking in atmosphere. Many things seemed closed, and there was no entertainment.
Our room was next to the open fire escape staircase, where there was a wet black sock lying on the floor, which was quite unpleasant.
