Spacious room with two double beds and clean.
Restaurant was noisy but assume from conference guests. Lifts were dirty

Not much
We have been staying at Riverside for many years. The pillows are terrible. We asked for an ironing board 3 times. we were even willing to fetch it ourselves.
Overall stay was not as before.
The beds were comfy and warm and the shower was hot with good pressure. Room was pretty but not the cleanest
The rooms were not spotless. Corners were not cleaned. Showers had mold and missing tiles. Curtains were ripped Room 410. The hotel had a very stale smell. Was just not fresh. And the paintwork etc. was bad...walls outside the lifts were dirty. I also wanted to get food at around 11:20 and was told i would have to wait an hour.

Just that the guest make alot of noise through the passages and out the entrance...
People book the hotel to come for a relaxing time...
The staff were very very helpful really assisted us well.
The entrance
Loud function venue made it impossible to sleep till after 11. Early morning noise. The small tv had nothing you could watch. The kettle was rusty and unusable. Safe does not work properly, kitchen doors didn’t close. Freezer had thick ice. Draws were hard to open. Windows people could see directly in from the business center.
The comfort of the room and environment

Friendly and attentive staff. Impressive reception. Peaceful but very convenient location. Secure parking. Good range of facilities.
On the whole the hotel deserves a to have a refresh and better maintenance. It has so much potential but small issues like a shower that doesn't drain well, a kettle with a broken lid and very tired cushions on the couches outside Cyril's bar leave one feeling noty enough is being spent on maintenance. The pool area and restaurant desperately need an interior designers make over to bring it into the current decade and help it flourish from being just pleasant to truly fantastic.

Safe parking
We booked a room that was supposed to have a lake view, the first room we were put in had absolutely no view, all we could see were roofs of buildings in front, we then requested to be moved which the manager helped us with but still could only see a tiny bit of lake. There was so much noise during the day and music until late at night and we were woken at 6am by people making a big noise in the corridors. The rooms are not even the slightest bit soundproof. At night the light from the corridors shone into our room around the door so kept us awake. Bathroom door did not close properly and there was quite a fair amount of black mould in the shower. My bed had such a thin duvet on it and my child's bed had red stain on the sheet which wad gross. We also had a house keeper knocking on our door 15 minutescheck out time so felt rather rushed to get out
