One of the best experiences I’ve had - even compared to higher- rated and priced hotels.

Got a little hot but the room was spacious, clean and the bed was comfy. The down fall would be if you have never been here it’s pretty confusing on how to get here. Now I know though. Staff very friendly.

I had really bad luck with another hotel and I had to book this one at the last minute. I called the next morning to see if I could come check in early, she said no problem, no charge, you’ve been through enough, we have a room ready. When I tell you Nya made my experience so great. She was so professional, kind, helpful and empathetic to my family. This was beautiful property right off a body of water, clean, quiet and comfy. Nice amenities. We swam too and that was great as well. I hope to come back soon!

Great place to stay at the end of Massachusettes Ave and about 10 minute easy drive to the KU campus.

You can tell the hotel was an older one, but well maintained. Rooms were big and comfy beds. Highly recommend for families visitng Lawrence and KU

Upon arrival the hotel looks run down and could use a refresh. The rooms were fine but the bathroom is definitely showing its age. The pool had been shutdown by the health department 6 days before our arrival but for some reason we weren’t notified in advance. We were traveling with a middle school volleyball team and we wouldn’t have booked a hotel without a pool. They said we could cancel but at that point we were at the front desk and no other hotels had availability for everyone.

Friendly staff and a quick check-in along with useful dinner recommendations. Breakfast was also good. Overlooking the river and watched a bit for eagles which hunt in the area. Comfortable room and easy parking.

We ended up NOT staying at this hotel because we reside in the same county so the checkin lady assumed we were kicked out of our home and wanted to party and tried to make us pay an extra $250 deposit for room damages. We felt extremely confused as we are a local professional couple that just wanted a night to ourselves away from our children for Valentines Day. She then mentioned that since there was a homeless camp near they do.not respect local residents. We left feeling targeted and dumbfounded as we have never been been treated so unfairly by a local establishment.

All of the staff was very friendly. Property was nice and the breakfast was good as well. We also appreciated the reasonable price, unlike many other hotels these days.
