ibis Strasbourg Centre Gare

We arrived at the hotel just after having had our backpack stolen on the train. My husband’s cell phone, credit card and other items were now gone. Shocked and in a state of confusion, the hotel staff was very patient and extremely helpful by allowing us to use their computer phone and connecting us with Canadian phone numbers in order to make credit card cancellations and freeze accounts. Special thanks to Hugo, Patricia and Vakho for their understanding and support. They went far beyond the regular requirements and their patience assisting us during a very stressful time was greatly appreciated. Many thanks to all who were involved.

Enkelt rent modernt rum. Nära station och på promenadavstånd till centrala Strasbourg

駅前でたいへん便利でした。特に不満はありません。朝食については、フランスはあまり力をいれていないところが多いように思いましたが、そのなかでは充実していたと思います。

The hotel is very near to the train station. Breakfast was fantastic.

Rien à redire. Tout était impeccable.

C’est un hôtel de passage sans âme, sans grande propreté… Cher pour ce que c’est !

Lage gegenüber vom Bahnhof praktisch, wenn man mit dem Zug anreist, dennoch nah zum Zentrum. Abends aber laut wegen Restaurants direkt unterhalb des Fensters. Zimmer stand erst ab 14 Uhr zur Verfügung, obwohl hier von Checkin ab 12 Uhr die Rede ist. Gute Auswahl beim Frühstück, der Raum hallt aber und hat den Charme einer Bahnhofswirtschaft. Zimmer der Superior-Kategorie war sehr schön und den geringen Aufpreis wert.

L'hôtel est situé en face de la gare TGV donc c'est pratique et bien desservi en transports en commun. La chambre a une taille correcte mais la salle d'eau est bien petite. Le sur matelas sur le lit aurait pu être stable si un drap housse avait été mis. Le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet salé et sucré est correct et l'équipe dédiée au petit-déjeuner est sympathique. Mais une partie de l'équipe de la réception est vraiment indigne ! Quand nous sommes arrivés, il y avait 2 femmes dont une jeune qui nous a bien accueilli et s'est occupé de nous, tandis que l'autre dame d'un certain âge nous dévisageait du regard sans dire bonjour ! Même mon fils m'a dit après "la dame là-bas a l'air méchante". Le lendemain, ma carte a été démagnétisée et donc j'ai dû me rendre à la réception ou j'attendais patiemment car le jeune monsieur de l'accueil était en communication téléphonique. Après, des touristes européens sont arrivés et là un autre monsieur (un grand) du personnel de la réception vient de leur dire bonjour et les servir. Choquée, je dis "Et ben bravo, j'étais là bien avant eux !". L'autre Agent qui venait de raccrocher est venu me voir et me dire "Ne vous inquiétez pas, je m'occupe de vous". Le manque de professionnalisme dans cet IBIS est souvent mentionné dans les commentaires, il faut donc réformer votre personnel de la réception.

We stayed for 4 nights here, & quite satisfied with this hotel, we arrived early & early checkin was allowed, thanks to the reception staff!. The room size was OK, but only one bath towel & no hand towel was provided, breakfast was good with lots of choices & coffee was excellent. The location is excellent, very close to the railway station, & early access to any places of interest. Overall I enjoyed my stay here & would definitely stay again!
