Welcoming rooms and staff but unwelcoming policies

Friendly staff, comfortable

Cons:

Arrived by train 90 mins before official check-in time. As luck would have it, the room was cleaned and ready, but unluckily the hotel has a policy of charging £30 for early check-in. I can understand paying extra in advance to guarantee an early check-in. But if the room happens to be ready on arrival, then why not let the customer use it instead of trying to monetise every little thing? This is no reflection on the hotel staff themselves, who were friendly and professional.

O pequeno almoço é péssimo! Fomos induzidos em erro, pois a maneira como anunciam leva a crer que se comparava ao anterior do hotel Kings. Não é aceitável o pequeno almoço que praticam. Fomos comer todos os dias a um café local. outros hóspedes que conhecemos também se queixaram do mesmo. Intragável o pequeno almoço. Outro aspecto que poderiam melhorar é ter alguns cabides na casa de banho e quarto para se poder pendurar as toalhas de banho ou algum casaco. Não há como. Nem um cabide nas paredes. No check out apresentámos queixa ao Manager sobre o pequeno almoço e foi nos devolvido o dinheiro do pequeno almoço. Ficámos agradecidos pois era o mínimo que poderiam fazer. Mais uma vez foi dito ao Manager que a péssima qualidade do pequeno almoço não representa a qualidade que o hotel Marriot Bonvoy pratica e assim considere este feedback. Espero que o faça pois de contrário nunca mais voltaremos a este hotel bem como os nossos amigos.

Hotel did the job but was incredibly hot!
Pros:

Staff very helpful, location excellent and bed comfy. Room was basic but did the job. Breakfast didn't have a massive choice but it was tasty and the staff very accommodating.

Cons:

It was incredibly hot in the hotel and room. The room only had 1 desk fan which didn't really help. Air coolers would be so much more effective when temperatures are high.

great location too bad about the heat wave
Pros:

The location is unbeatable and access to sea and sea views is amazing. The nearby restaurants are amazing and generally it is a reasonable price for the area. The room was comfortable and the bathroom large.

Cons:

Like most hotels there is no air con. It was so hot on the 5th floor my iPhone said it wouldn't charge until it cooled down. The heat was nearly unbearable and the only way to survive was the fan in the window to draw in some air. That worked well enough that I could sleep. I'm sure it is better when there's not a heat wave going on. But if there had not been a fan I would not have been able to stay.

Cons:

Room was outdated and with 3 single beds? No air cibdutiining and lower standards yhan i expexted staying in marriot. Stayed in locations all over the world and this was way below par.
