Staff was friendly
Room 901 was terrible. The elevators were right on the other side of the bed so it sounded like a train all night.
Location was convenient
A little loud with noise from outside
The room was pretty nice but small. The staff inside the hotel were not super friendly.
The valet hit my car on a concrete pillar. The manager was nice about it but it did cause a few issues that are now following us home. The bed was also very hard.
The location is quiet, off the main street which is Canal Street, one block away. The hotel was beautiful and comfortable, the bed was great, the bathroom was large and well-appointed. The location is near the French Quarter and walking distance to restaurants, drug stores, trolley stop and more.
The lobby coffee shop was disappointing because the service was very slow. I didn't even get any coffee because the wait was too long. Not sure if it was due to short staffing or what the problem was.

The location was close to the conference I was attending.
The room was not as nice as it appeared in the photos, which was disappointing. I also wasn’t able to try the coffee shop because the hours seemed very limited during my stay. Additionally, I’ve had trouble receiving the invoice for my stay, which has been frustrating. Overall, the experience didn’t quite meet my expectations.
The location
The property is beautiful and well kept for the most part. Prime location and house keeping always did an excellent job.
The person that checked us in tried to run my card for the full amount of the stay although I prepaid with Booking.com. He did this without my permission and also did not show me or tell me what the charge was for. I lock my cards so the payment did not go through. I showed him my booking receipt and he proceeded to call his manager who told him to just bill Booking.com (was on speaker or walkie talkie so we could hear)he said to them ‘Are you sure since both cards on file declined’. That was extremely rude especially since I showed him my receipt. During check out, another staff member asked to run a card for valet but did not tell us how much the charge was and it doesn’t show up on the screen. I literally had to ask what the balance was. You should always tell the person how much they are being charged before you run their card especially if it’s not going to come up on the card reader. We went to get our car from valet and the attendant asked to see our receipt as expected. He then proceeded to ask what room we were in and asked how many days we stayed (although it was on the receipt and we tipped him every time we bought the car in and out) and then go inside to talk to the receptionist to make sure the receipt was correct. So we had to wait for him to come back. Honestly, he doesn’t get paid enough to check then doubt a printed out hotel receipt. I did not see him do that to any other guest that was checking out so I was a bit frustrated. Made me feel like a thief. The hotel room was also extremely cold because of the weather (cold front). We could not control the air from our room (thermostat broken). The elevators are old and small. There were no luggage carts available. Playing Jeepers Creepers as lobby music while waiting for the elevator was also very unsettling. Probably would choose different hotel next year.
Comfortable short stay. Was upgraded to an executive room but even that was quite small, NYC size. Clean room and decent bathroom, but strong moisture/mildew odor. It was fine once you got used to it. Would stay in a newer hotel next time.
